I wanted to like this moisturizer and thought that I would given I've used other Fresh products with satisfaction.I have combo skin and have pesky dry, flakey spots since I moved to a dry climate. It's been challenging to find a moisturizer that absorbs really well into the skin, providing deep hydration to rid the dry patches while also not causing oilier skin or break outs.Though this moisturizer didn't cause any break outs, it doesn't deeply hydrate either. It sits and pills on top of my skin vs sinking in. My skin ends up feeling oily yet not soft or hydrated. Plus the pilling is just a pain when trying to apply makeup.I'll be returning and will continue hunting for a better moisturizer. On a positive note, I do like the subtle cucumber / rose scent.

As a licensed aesthetician of 8 yrs in the dermatology and med spa industry, I tend to take on a more critical analysis than most consumers when experimenting with new skin care products. I am 32, combo skin type (can produce some oil in T-zone, but mostly dehydrated everywhere else), and prefer my moisturizers to feel somewhat heavy and leave my skin dewy. So I personally love the way this cream feels and looks onmy skin, it definitely leaves my skin glowy and feels moisturized throughout the day. It also plays well with my sunscreen on top, no "pilling". In regards to skin concerns, my skin is usually clear, but can be prone to acne when I'm extra stressed or if I slacking off with cleaning my makeup brushes, slept with my makeup on, etc. This product does contain isostearyl isostearate and algin, two known pore-cloggers. However, these ingredients don't necessarily mean you will break out, just that you are more likely to if you are someone who is very acne-prone. I personally haven't had any new breakouts since using. Also, if you are someone sensitive to essential oils or strong scents, you may not be a fan of this cream. I don't have any issues with them though and actually love how intense the rose smell is! It lingers for at least an hour too, so fans of rose products should really enjoy that. All in all, I'm really enjoying this face cream and would recommend!

Didn’t work for me, but is hydrating!

My skin-type is combination-oily and definitely on the sensitive side I guess only when it comes to trying new things. The consistency of this moisturizer is very thick and goopy, and at first I was excited because some of my best moisturizers have felt this way. Sounds counter-intuitive since my skin can be oily, especially during summer. It definitely still needs hydration though or can be dry. Anyway, the smell was a little offputting, but I personally am just not a huge fan of the artificial rose scent. It does smell pretty close to a fresh rose though, so they about nailed it. It was easy to apply and mostly absorbed easily. I didn’t use much and could tell some definitely stayed on the surface of the skin for a while. Some products do that and I’m generally careful about what I put on my face because of that. This however is very thick and it is NOT non-comedogenic. If your skin requires stuff that is, this won’t work for you. If you don’t need that, then this is honestly really moisturizing. I’d just probably use it before bed since it’s formulated to be so long-lasting that you really can just feel it on there and it feels almost a bit oily. This would not work well under makeup. Also it says it’s lightweight, it definitely is not.

Does not do well with any layering after

First off, this moisturizer does not do well with anything else on top of it. If you try to put even SPF on after you've used this moisturizer, the amount of peeling that occurs... it's like you're rubbing both the moisturizer and the SPF on. I tried different SPFs. I tried to lightly pat etc. but nothing worked so now, I'm only using it for my night routine as the last step.There is also a slight fragrance that you can evidently smell. Overall, I'd say it moisturizes the skin but is not that nourishing or moisturizing. I have combination skin but 2 spots where I'm really dry on my face and it leaves a gleam on your face after you've applied, and even more when you wake up in the morning. Dreadful pilling and leaves my skin ultimately dry

I received a full-sized pot of this cream as part of a Christmas gift set with the rose face mask, toner and serum. The smell is lovely and a gorgeous consistency in applying but like other reviewers have mentioned it pills dreadfully on the skin. However, I can still see the positive effects of this cream and can definitely say that, after using it as a night cream, my skin stayed hydrated for a while. While I’m not sure that it was quite 72 hours before the effects wore off, my skin was definitely hydrated all throughout the next day. I have actually been using a basic, hydrating routine lately to repair my skin barrier and I definitely think that this moisturizer has helped in that regard. I can see soothing benefits from the moisturizer right after application. The only negative thing that I have experienced about this product is the thickness and consistency being too heavy for my skin, but that is a personal issue and would not affect everyone. I can definitely see this moisturizer being very good for drier to normal skin types.
