After the spot dries, i let them roam by themselves and I cleaned the treatment area to kill some escaped fleas. It was the best experience so far, and I can finally see my cats tolerating this treatment for long-term.One day after treatment, some grease still remained in the spot where I put frontline but it’s fine. They are not scratching anymore and had more appetite. They play a lot more!

A waste of money.

Treated my two cats with Frontline per the included instructions. After several (3-5) days of relatively calm days, both cats started scratching again. yes please if you have a indoor cat, please bath your cat first with flea shampoo, please, then do the bath twice in that one setting. then wait about three days and put one application of frontline on your kitty, but just watch for the flea droppings. if you see scratching, if so wait a week and try again with frontline. you have to keep it up and ahead of those nasty fleas! wash bed linens, etc. vacuum. I hope this information has helped you. The front line is a very good product.

Hate Applicator

I don't know if this works because I was using it preventatively on an outdoor cat. Not sure if it rid them of fleas or not. However, my main concern is the applicator. It is way too small, and the liquid doesn't want to come out. I followed the directions with all 3 applications and had issues each time. The first 2 times, I at least got it on the cat, but after attempting 6 times with the 3rd application, I gave up and threw away the dose with the liquid still in it. I broke the top and tried to dump the liquid also squeezed the applicator all to no avail. Each time I checked the liquid was still inside swishing around. As I stated, I tried 6 times and by then I myself and my cat were both so annoyed I threw it away with the dose still inside. $11 down the drain. ... MoreI don't know if this works because I was using it preventatively on an outdoor cat. He has sensitive skin and we use oatmeal washes to soothe him when his hide gets itchy and we use 'head and shoulders' shampoo for his dry, flaky coat as well. Every now and then he needs some hydrocortisone to help relieve his itchy symptoms even despite the shampoo treatments. We had controlled the fleas as best we could with carpet and bedding sprays and powders, all-natural ones. With an old cat that already had skin problems and a tendency to go through seasons when he compulsively licked his skin raw (vet said its like obsessive-compulsive disorder), I was even more hesitant to put potentially deadly chemicals on his coat that he could lick if he started going through a compulsive spell again or that would irritate his already sensitive skin. But when his fleas started making him howl, scratch and tear at his fur so much that he wet himself, I decided that I had to step up the efforts beyond the homeopathic stuff we were using. It worked great! Im so happy with it. Not only have I not had a single flea jump on me in months, but my little old cat is doing greeeaatt. No more itching, howling, peeing or bleeding. In about a week, the difference was unbelievable. It has been months now and his fur is fine and even thicker than before now that he's not scratching constantly.

It Works but at what cost to your pet
28 September 2024

Putting a pesticide on your furry family member just doesn't sound right. They don't want the animal to lick the area but it's ok for it to go directly into it's blood stream transdermally and stay there 30 Days. Are there any studies if the long term affects of these toxins? I find that a flea comb and some quality time with your furry family member is best and the long term affects are a unbreakable bond between you and your best friend. I know we have busy lives but spending an hour grooming your feline or canine is also therapeutic for the you. It's better than putting pesticides on your pet. I'm no vet. Or Dr. So what do I know. I know it's worked for 14 yrs and counting and he never lets me forget his combing time.

The shipment of Frontline Plus that I received seems to be doing nothing or very little to kill the fleas. My cats are indoor only so I shouldn't be having a problem. Around 8/20 I started noticing a couple fleas so I ordered Frontline Plus because after reading reviews it seemed it was working better than Gold. On 9/11 there were still fleas and the vet told me Frontline hadn't been working very well. I have to agree with that. I use to exclusively use the other name brand otc flea medicine but didn’t need to use it year round cause they were indoor only, we usually just used it in the summer.. until I took my cat to a vet and she came back with mutant fleas that were proving resistant to the other.. so I researched and tried this. Been hooked ever since. Starting with a pretty severe outbreak, at first i was skeptical cause they’d start scratching again after only 2 weeks but with subsequent timely uses, and all the usual household stuff like increased vacuuming (had to use baby powder on my carpets thanks to having hermit crabs), we got it under control fairly quickly, all things considered. My elderly cat also had a seizure after her last application of the other product(after YEARS of no issue, so who knows, may have been a fluke, may be connected), didn’t bother investigating further cause we switched to this without any further episodes. So my elderly fur balls have since passed on and we recently got a couple kittens that also came with mild amount of fleas.. this once again, stopped it in its tracks and it prevented them from spreading, no signs at all after 2 consecutive months.
