Every month like clockwork my little guy gets his frontline treatment. We spend a lot of time outdoors and this has prevented many tick bites. Regular use keeps ticks from biting my 5lb dog. Sometimes, we find ticks walking on his fur/skin, but rarely attached and we attribute this to the frontline treatment. I prefer frontline over some other flea and tick treatments because it’s not ingested. I feel like topical treatments are safer than oral ones. And this one has been around for a long time. I trust it with my senior dog. We’ve been using it more than 12 years.

Our beagle began scratching and we noticed a flea on his belly area. We treat our lawn for insects including flea and ticks and have never needed to use any flea type product and he is 7 years old. We visited the local Pet Supermarket and they recommended the Frontline product. We purchased it followed the directions and the dog continued to scratch and chew his tail and the back area of his legs. We went back to the store to inform them the product that claims to immediately kill fleas and larva within hours is not working after two weeks. The clerk told us to apply it again so we did. Another 2 to 3 weeks later no change and we actually saw a flea on the belly. Once again the store clerk said to apply the remaining amount o the dog. Another 2 to 3 weeks later no change and we actually saw a flea on the belly. Once again the store clerk said to apply the remaining amount o the dog. After another 3 to 4 weeks our poor beagle still was biting and chewing. We visited the store once again and explained to the clerk we have now applied a three month amount of Frontline within a 9 weeks period with no results. This clerk (a different from past visits) actually would not recommend Frontline because he has heard the same complaint numerous times. He told us expressed he personally uses Advantage II and recommends the Advantage II to customers. I purchased the Advantage II (The Advantage II product is less expensive) applied to our dog and no kidding within 48 hours our dog stopped scratching and biting and his fur is now growing back.During this entire time we went to the Frontline website. We thought it was odd that the website contact us does not include email capability! We wrote Frontline a letter and did receive a call approximately two (2) weeks later. They informed us they have no relationship with stores that sell their product and their policy requires a customer to use their product for a three month period and continue using for the remainder of the pets life to be effective. We explained the commercials and directions claims this product kills flea and larva within hours! The Frontline manger stated we do not provide refunds and a customer must use their product every month. After talking to a number of friends, family, and co-workers we were amazed to find the majority of them experienced the exact poor performance using the Frontline product and all use Advantage II products. Just wanted to save anyone out there with a pet from having your dog or cat suffer due to a terrible product and even a worse customer service team.

WOW... Frontline is usually a great product. I had to take my 50lb dog to the Vet cause he kept biting at his tail and behind. Got so bad that his hair was falling out near his behind. I keep up on my pets heart worm, tape worm, and flea treatments religiously. So when he was biting I would casually glance for fleas, he has a dark coat and did not see any. So I gave him an oatmeal bath thinking his skin may be dry. He kept biting and scratching. Then I bought some topical spray for mites and skin fungi and it seemed to give him temporary relief but not much. I then took him to the vet and I had to wait for 40 minutes in a room with him. I then really started to look in his fur and found fleas! They were difficult to see, even in his white fur and he is short haired. ... MoreWOW... Frontline is usually a great product. The vet then told me that Frontline early this year did something and their product is no longer as effective as it used to be. She had received this complaint from many pet owners. SO... Frontline no longer delivers on their name brand, BEWARE. She gave my pet Bravecto which is expensive, but worth it. Almost immediately after he chewed up the tablet he found relief and me too. He was given some steriods to dry the infections from biting so much and antibody medicine. By that evening my pet was sleeping soundly and not once bit or scratched at his tail or behind. I am going to use Bravecto from now on. If Bravecto makes the same mistake as Frontline then I will let people know and switch to another brand

I have been buying these from Costco for nearly 12 years, I ve had Tux for 14 years. This past Summer in Southern Cali had been really unseasonally hot, to the point where this just didn't do the trick, which bothered me, considering it costs about 60 dollars for a 6 month pack, its not cheap. I ended up having to rush my dog to the vet because he had picked up a flea infestation, even with using this product, and nothing I tried worked. the instructions say I could give him two doses but it didn't do anything. I tried a flea bath even, and Capstar, finally I gave up and took him to the vet. The vet informed me that fleas can mutate ( strange, but true) and just like the Flu vaccine, this medication, if used for a long enough period can make the fleas immune to the treatment. In short, she advised to stop using it after a year or two, so I had to spend an extra 100.00 to get him another flea medicine, which required a prescription. so I'm not really a fan of this stuff, because that means the manufacturers should be keeping up with the latest techniques to minimize the fleas.

Good price.Everything as ordered.Took about a week for shipping. So far, so good.Cheaper than I can get it locally, and less of a wait than waiting for a vet appointment. I am more than satisfied and will use this company in the future. Thanks.
