A great printer with the best size

Good prints - a few gripes
31 December 2021

This printer and the prints themselves are nice. Build quality is solid, and the film format is great. However, I have two gripes that bring this down to 3 stars --1) They released a product in 2021 with micro usb... Literally everything is USB-C now. My camera, phones (minus iPhone), my laptop, etc. The EU even has a law now saying phones need to be usb-c so that there's a universal cable for everything. And yet fuji released a product in 2021 with micro usb... Now I need to make sure that I bring another cable with me because Fuji couldn't be bothered to update their charging circuit.2) Why is the X-S10 still the only camera that can send photos directly to this printer? This launched in October 2021. It's now December. Most of your cameras since at least 2018 ... MoreThis printer and the prints themselves are nice. This launched in October 2021. It's now December. Most of your cameras since at least 2018 have bluetooth, so why can't I connect to this with my X-T3 or X-T4? And there's no explanation on why this is despite many people raising the question. Little things like this can be used to develop brand loyalty. Instead, I'm left wondering why I chose this ecosystem. A new print format each year isn't going to keep me around.

Great Wide Printer
21 May 2023

I was considering getting a printer from Instax's lineup of printers and eventually decided on this one because of the great value of the printer at the time I purchased it. I already have Instax Mini 9 camera and the old version of that printer (SP-1). This one is wide and I prefer taking landscape photos.I will say I do think the printer takes a considerable amount of time printing one photo but on the flip side it gives you an opportunity to cancel the photo if you have second thoughts. This film is NOT cheap so I actually prefer using the printer overall. Yeah, it might take some of the initial fun out of the experience when you're not using a camera but the disappointment of wasting expensive film on a terrible shot feels worse to me. Loving the Wider Format
5 January 2022

I really enjoy the Instax Wide Printer. I have owned the Instax SP-1 and now the SP-2 printer. Now that I have the Instax Wide Printer and have done some prints I do not know if I will keep my SP-2 printer. I really like the larger format of the images. I also like the aspect ratio since it prints perfectly 2:3 ratio since that is what Fujifilm uses when shooting RAW files on there APS-C format cameras. The Instax Mini printers work in more of a 4:5 aspect ratio. I can't believe that it took them this long to release a wide format printer. I think many people really wanted Fujifilm to release this item.I don't use all the crazy features so I cannot comment on them but if you have used any of their previous printers then it is easy to setup and print. This printer is even easier that previous versions since it connects via Bluetooth instead of Wi-Fi. I like the rich color mode. The colors look really nice for an instant print. But if you want for of that traditional Instax look then you can change the print mode to Instax.I always wanted the Wide Instax Camera but the size is pretty bulking so I know I would not want to carry it or bring it with me on trips. This printer is nice and compact so I would have no problem throwing this in my bag with my over camera equipment on trips.I would definitely recommend this for fans of Fujifilm Instax printer and I think you will love the wider format.

Perfect way to get fun prints from modern devices!

I purchased this as a gift for my girlfriend, who many years ago used an instax wide camera (until it broke). She was looking at a replacement, but of course they are hard to come by. While shopping however, i ran across this unit, and was intrigued; this gives the same great instant prints, but doesn't require an "ancient" and chunky single use camera. The gift was a huge hit! She absolutely loves being able to use her iPhone to generate prints, not just from her iPhone camera, but from photos i have taken for her and sent to her. She wound up printing out a full stack of photos, and has continued enjoying it since. My only issue is that the printer doesn't include film, but that's a one time issue. Probably not for those who are serious about image quality

Let me preface this by saying that I'm a long-time shooter of Instax film and use the Mini 90, SQ6 and Wide 200 cameras regularly for both work and fun. I love the Instax film look and always search for conditions that will help achieve its full potential.Short of adapting large format cameras to use better glass and exposure control, the Link printer seemed like the easiest approach to upping my game, since it allowed me to get images made with other analog or digital gear and tailor them for perfect results. Unfortunately, the prints are at best as sharp as the ones made by a cheap Instax camera, and at worst lack resolution and may present slightly darker stripes or banding artifacts, usually at the bottom of the image close to the thickest white border (I did ... MoreLet me preface this by saying that I'm a long-time shooter of Instax film and use the Mini 90, SQ6 and Wide 200 cameras regularly for both work and fun. The upside is that the result is very repeatable and fairly predictable, but it is definitely not a substitute for even the quirkiest analog Instax camera in terms of image quality.

User friendly, high quality prints!
2 November 2022

This fun and afordable little photo printer exceeded my expectstions. It connected easy to my iPhone through the Fuji app. The wide format prints produce a clear and larger print than the mini. It well worth the investment not having to mess around with inkjet tanks and cartridges. The cost of the film packs is very reasonable. The cost per print is lower than the competition. Best of all, the film is available litterally anywhere! Great when you are traveling.

Wow, this might replace my old Instax camera!
8 December 2022

I’ve had an Instax camera for several years now and I always enjoyed bringing it to family gatherings or parties. We have a lot of fun taking pictures and plastering them all over the fridge of whoever’s home we happen to be at. I stumbled across this printer and impulsively bought it, thinking of all the times I’ve wasted film because my finger was in the way or the lighting wasn’t good. This solves both of those for me as I’m able to print iPhone photos on this thing. Bundle iPhone/and or better quality camera photos with the vintage looking instant prints we all love, and this is a really great tool! I’ve been printing photos so much more and people constantly ask where I got this thing. The app is great for editing too. 10 stars. Buy it and take it to your next ... MoreI’ve had an Instax camera for several years now and I always enjoyed bringing it to family gatherings or parties.
