I had been considering an Instax camera for a while as friends have the Mini ones and love them - they were so much fun at a (pre-COVID) gathering. I decided to buy this one for myself for Christmas and I'm really disappointed. I know I shouldn't be expecting much in terms of photo quality but most of the images are poorly focused and washed out, which stings when they're almost £1 each. So I will say when it comes to photography I have enough experience with cameras.This camera is a great intro to Instant film cameras. When I used Fuji I knew I was going to get consistent result and quality film, however, I also knew from experience Fuji film has a more cool tone hue vs Polaroid and Kodak’s warm tone film.Polaroid has started manufacturing new instant cameras and film to go with but I have read a lot of reviews mentioning inconsistencies.I have the Instax Mini so I knew the only difference for this one was the square format.If you are set on the old Polaroid and prefer what you remember this might not be for you, but if you are open to something new that is easy to use with reasonably priced film I would recommend.

I absolutely love this square camera! My husband and I took out on vacation and documented little moments. The pictures came out good. I loved documenting the vacation this way. The camera is easy to use, it's basically a point and shoot and the pictures come out good. Sometimes they are slightly over exposed, but that doesn't bother me much as it gives it a more vintage feel. Overall, it's a great camera and I'm super happy with it.

I bought this early December last year hoping to use it for my summer memories to come and it did not impress. The pictures ALWAYS come out blurry. The camera CAN NEVER FOCUS. Honestly such a waste of money. I cannot believe that I wasted so much money on this rubbish camera. Save your buck and get a proper real camera
So pleased with this, delivery was much quicker than expected and product is exactly what I wanted and blue is super cute. I did do a lot of research on whether to buy a digital one or this - I think the results are better on this one as an instant print rather than basically a camera that’s just a mini printer with the digital ones. Really pleased was perfect for a wedding and actually have used for any party or occasion
This is an extremely simple camera even by Instax standards. There is a shutter. You can set it to one of two modes: regular or selfie (which doubles up as close-up, for subjects around 50cm away). And that's about it. But simple cameras can be fun to use, and can even be inspiring, by removing distractions and forcing us to work within constraints. I have the terracotta version which I love the look of. I gave it four stars only because (a) I wish there was a way to switch the flash off, and (b) I think the shutter release is not very well designed, with a real risk of accidentally pressing it and wasting an exposure, which has happened to me a few times already. Great, fun instant camera. Do not expect high resolution shots - this is not what it is designed for. The purpose is for fun, 'old school' looking instant prints to display on the fridge and elsewhere instead of your phone and rekindle the interest in photography in this age of endless digital pics. Very easy to use. Loading film could be done by a young child without difficulty. Just be careful not to press the shutter button inadvertently. Some manual control would be good for the more advanced user.
My adult daughter loves her Christmas gift. Santa brought her this along with a carry case from Amazon and extra film. The quality of the pictures are way better than the other big brand instant picture company. Pictures are super clear but as good as they get for an instant camera. She loves it and that is all that matters.
