XT-5 is my fist Fujifilm camera. Sayonara to Sony and Canon after I fell in love with Fujifilm system. XT-5 is great with no doubt but a little bit too big for everyday street photography.I kept studying the other compact models like X-100v and XE-4, but for some reason I made up my mind to wait for XE-5 or next model of X-100v. One day, the review of XT-30 on youtube draw my attention, and I realize it is the smaller edition of XT-4. XT-30II has all excellent elements for a secondary camera. Now, I bring XT-30II with me everyday wherever I go. Frankly speaking , I doubt that if I will get XT-6 in the future, but I am sure that I will place my pre-oder for the XT-40 as long as it is released in the near future.

I LOVE this camera! I really enjoy the idea of shooting digital and having that film effect! Even though sometimes the photo app isn’t the best, my favorite part of this camera is that i can send the photos from my camera to my phone! coming from an older camera to this, LIFE SAVER! Id definitely recommend this camera if you love the film look!

Good compact size, especially with the handgrip. Excellent menu system with a totally customizable quick menu that makes for easy access to your preferred features. Also you can create a User menu with the features you use most all in one place. The Fuji XF 18-55 is a great lens. I especially like the easy access dials for shutter speed, various shooting modes and exposure modification.Like others have said, it may take some getting used to the location of the Quick button since, depending on how you hold the camera, it sits close to where many place their thumb and could be pressed in error. The APS sensor provides a ... MoreGood compact size, especially with the handgrip. Better quality than the Micro Four-thirds sensor.I've used several Panasonic Lumix cameras (including GX7 & GX8) and I prefer the Fuji for ergonomics, build and especially capabilities.I originally purchased the Nikon Z50 with the FT adaptor (I'm a long time Nikon film and Digital SLR user) although a nice little camera, I was disappointed in the ergonomics and kit lens and the expense to upgrade to better lens. Also with the FT adaptor, be sure to verify it works with your specific older Nikon lens, because it did not work with all my Nikon lens. So I returned the Z50 and purchased the Fuji X-T30 and was blown away by the quality, handling and build of this camera compared to the Z50.As for the size, I did not feel it was too small, especially after adding the handgrip. As a reference, I compared its size (with the hand grip on) to one of my Nikon film cameras (FM2) and as for the width, the X-T30 was only about 3/4" smaller while the body was about half the size front to back and the height was about the same. As a result it felt very comfortable and familiar in my hands. The Essentials add-on kit is an excellent choice and includes a high quality Domke case along with common filters, etc.If your in the market for a compact, full featured camera with a great lens system, you should take a serious look at the Fuji X-T30.

I am a professional photographer, and I will not compromise on Image Quality for street work. I have tried several times to leave my Nikon full-frame kit to migrate to Fuji, but issues with the mirrorless Fujifilm cameras prevented me from doing so. It started with the XT-1 but the AF was lagging, low light performance was subpar, and it just was frustrating. Sold it. Then I tried the X100S, same thing, and no tilt screen, files were inferior to my Nikon D800. Sold it. Then the XT-2, but same thing. Sold it. Then I tried the X100T and the X100F. Same, sold them. And now, finally the X-T30. AF is super accurate and blazing fast. Face/eye detection is amazing, spot on. Image Quality is excellent, EVF doesn't lag, doesn't blackout, and is bright enough to enjoy ... MoreI am a professional photographer, and I will not compromise on Image Quality for street work. I don't think I'll ever be bringing my Nikons street shooting again, no need. Game changer. The future has finally arrived.

Great camera! After fiddling around with this camera for a month, I am very pleased with my experience. I watched numerous youtube videos before making a commitment. This is a great starter camera if you cannot find the regular XT30. I'll definitely taking photography more serious as a hobby, and I'm glad I have this camera. If your planning on buying this camera, I suggest watched reviews before you commit.
Like most photographers I'm getting into video more and more. I used my X-T30 for a friends school project and unfortunately there was noticeable focus hunting. With this camera getting such good reviews I thought to myself "how can this be?" Then recently the camera conspiracies dude made a similar video and he highlighted this same fact. As an owner of an X-T3 and X-H1 I do love Fuji cameras for stills only, but if you are doing and video recording then go with something else. I know the FW upgrade on the Panasonic G9 made a huge difference so maybe it can be solved with a FW upgrade, but for now I hate hunting, it's noticeable and distracting. Also, now that I've been looking at the A6400, that one has unlimited recording, and the flippy screen. I'm not a Sony ... MoreLike most photographers I'm getting into video more and more. I'm not a Sony fanboy at all but it does have it's advantages over this minus the lens selection. Not sure what I'll do but that one just did not cut it for me.
I am not going to go in depth but I will mention what forced me to return this camera. One word, ERGONOMICS. This thing just sucks in your hand. With that heavy lens and no grip it makes using this camera a terrible experience. The Q button placement sucks as well. I highly recommend test driving this camera before you buy. Remember there is a restocking fee of 15% for this camera if you do decide to return it. If you find, with a lens on, that you can comfortably enjoy this camera then it looks to be a fantastic choice.
I love this camera, it's small and has amazing quality. I'm fairly new to photography and using cameras. I've only had experience with a Canon 7D but I was able to quickly learn how to navigate the Fuji XT30II. I love how portable and user friendly it is, so many great videos on the internet to help teach new users how to work the camera. It's exactly what I was looking for, I'm so excited to continue learning about it.
