I have one of the original kits with three different levels of sharpening fingers but they don't make them any more. But this single one should do the trick. It is a gift for my parents as their knives are always very blunt. So I'll restore their knives with my set and they can then keep them sharp with this single unit.

Superb knife sharpener for the novice (like me). My Dad used to sharpen knives with a “sharpening stone” but I couldn’t manage to replicate his skill. I still wanted to be able to cut my tomatoes with a sharp knife … my husband bought me a Furi Knife set, which included these sharpening fingers, and I found that I could easily sharpen my knives just like my Dad. The fingers work really well for 5 years (I like sharp knives) and then start to degrade but still useful for a few more years. Finally, I’ve bought a replacement and I am completely satsified.

Amazing knife sharpener. I was quite daunted at the prospect of sharpening my Furi knives, and had been told by so many people that you needed a sharpening stone in order to really do the job properly. They're wrong, because this sharpener is perfect. It's easy to use, makes for straight-out-of-the-box sharp knives and I couldn't be happier.

This is a very safe and easy to use sharpener that exceeds the results obtained by any other knife sharpener I have used.
Pros: Very easy to use.I use to sharpen my Furi knives and confident that it is doing it well retaining the quality and sharpness of the knives.Cons: The storage pouch is not very good as not adequate to keep the sharpener together only holds the fingers.
Pros: quick and effortless sharpening.Cons: could be cheaper. plastic grips and only small section of the fingers are actually coated with the grit.
I have had one of these for years - as I have a thing about keeping sharp knives. Alas a friend broke the safety handle ... so I happily replaced for a fresh one. Awesome knife sharpener and quick, safer and easy to use.
Great easy to use sharpener that actually works extremely well. It bought some very dull knives back to life and they are now so sharp, you have to be very careful when using them. Lightweight, easy to use, good price.
I get my grownup son to sharpener knives for me. He seemed happy.
This is my 2nd purchase on line from Harts of Sturminster. Both have been very good.. Y latest purchase was for my daughter-in-law she was very pleased with it.
