I LOVE this tool. My cat sheds a LOT as hes a ginger tabby, and while its annoying for me to clean, it also causes hairball issues with him. Slicker brushes are a great daily tool, but it requires lots of strokes and i find myself using my hand to brush and pick up everything the brush has loosened. the furminator works incredibly well to pull out all the excess shed and hair that just wont get picked up with a brush. The eject button removes hair from the brush quickly. Tbh i havent had to replace the blades yet and ive had mine a few years. Just be mindful it shouldnt be used daily as it can irritate the skin. Add this to your grooming routine weekly and you’ll notice a huge difference.

This is a MUST have for any cat owner. This product has SAVED my clothes, furniture, and my sanity. This is a great de-shedding tool for your cat. It truly does remove all the extra fur. I never realized how much I needed this product until I had it. This has immensely stopped the amount of fur my cat sheds and helps to keep fur from appearing all around my house. I found definitely recommend this to any pet owner who has an animal who sheds very frequently.

Well first let me start by saying, yes this product is definitely EXPENSIVE! But also, oh so worth it! We have two long hair, BLACK cats. So when I say I have cat ha8r everywhere, I mean it. My friends even have my cat's hair at their house! This product has been a lifesaver! It works so well. The handle grip is so comfortable, especially with someone who has carpel tunnel syndrome. It has a "furejector" which gets all the hair out of the brush is immediately. Plus, it's safe for my 4 year old son to use because the brush itself isn't sharp enough to hurt him, but enough to really get the tangles out of my cat's hair. There isn't one bad thing I could say about this. Well, maybe a sale every once in a while, but honestly SO WORTH IT!!!

I had to come leave a review to warn people.The brush is great. The best brush I've ever had BUT BE CAREFUL it will rip your cats whiskers off. DO NOT BRUSH THERE FACE. I accidentally brushed over top of the whiskers you cant really see and it ripped them right out ! 3 times I accidentally did it ! he didnt seem to mind like it didnt hurt him but still. but other than that its awesome !

Definitely worth it

I was really apprehensive spending $30 on a brush when my long haired cat HATED being brushed, but his hair balls were getting out of control. Even a de-shedding treatment didn't help. I read a few reviews & decided to try it. The only bad thing I can say is that now EVERY single time I walk near the it, my cat meows at me because he wants to be brushed (even a year later). He absolutely loves it, and the amount of hair I get from him every single time is unreal. I can tell it's from his undercoat as well. It doesn't pull his hair, and it definitely doesn't cut or thin like a pair of thinning shears. I never write reviews but after almost a year I finally figured maybe It would help someone else make a decision! Definitely worth it!!

Great product!

It is very good for shedding. Do not use it every day, shedding is not the same of brushing. I bought it for my two cats, they leave hairs every where. After changing the food and shedding them every week is better the situation. It's great for short hair pets. One of my cats is short hair and the other is long hair. With the short hair cat the shedding remove more hairs than with mi long hair cat. It is worth it for cats and dogs.

Is it worth it? YES.

As much as I hate how expensive it is, I understand why. My cat has never been classified as a “long hair” cat, but I recently did a DNA test and found out she has several long haired cat breeds in her. The clumps of hair I got out with this brush was beyond what I was expecting. And usually, she gets really agitated if I brush her for too long, but she was loving every second. It didn’t seem to hurt her or bother her and she purred the whole time. Beyond satisfied with my purchase.

Ruined my cat's coat! This is a SHEARER! Cuts hair

I was super excited thinking I had found something that would help with my Ragdoll and Maine Coon cats' shedding. So after reading such great reviews I took a picture of the product and description and bought it at my local pet store because they had it in stock, they match the Amazon price and I wanted it right away. I didn't want to wait to have it delivered even though I'm a Prime member but deliveries are taking longer these days. I read all instructions and immediately started using it on my two cats, one Ragdoll, one Maine Coon. The amount of hair that was coming off was crazy, and this was after a good brushing with their regular brush. I started to notice that the coat was being left all uneven and looked really bad, so I went back to the box to see if anywhere in the box did it say that it actually SHEARS (CUTS) the fur off!! Nope, nowhere. I decided to go online and do some research and sure enough, after reading outside reviews I was able to confirm that this is a SHEARING TOOL!!! I am so angry at Furminator for not making that clear on the packaging or inside instructions or anywhere on their advertizing. I am angry. My beautiful cat's fur is all cut up unevenly and they both look like something is wrong with their health and their fur is a sign of it. The only way this company can get away with advertising this as a de-shedding tool is because of course, if you shear all your pets fur, like if it was a sheep, you won't have any hair left for shedding. It will take months for my beautiful cats' fur to grow back even and look beautiful again. Shame on you, Furminator, for false/misleading advertising. I will never buy another product from this company. Amazon should ban them. I had to give a one star in order to give my review but this product deserves no stars at all.

The perfect tool!

I was helping a elderly neighbor take care of her 16# Ragdoll cat named Blue who she adopted from the Ukraine. He was still pretty scared and he badly needed to be groomed and regular combs and brushes weren't getting us anywhere. I went to Petco and a employee (Noelle) recommended the FURminator. Blue didn’t mind it at all and we were able to get him looking all pretty in just one sitting. I will be going back to Petco to buy a few more or these for other pet owners I help care for their pets. It truly works.

Wonderful tool!

I have a large fairly hairy (thick!) Siamese cat, who never washes / cleans herself! Never had a cat who didn't, but do now. She sheds something terrible, year-round. I've tried other brushes with not much result. This too is so cool! She absolutely loves it when I brush her with it and I get so much hair off her. I don't use the push button I just remove the hair with my hand as I go. Her coat is now shiny and I got most of the shed hair gone. I also bought the rinse free Furminator deshedding shampoo and gave her her first shower/bath! She has an obsession with water to begin with so it was no big deal. She didn't like it but didn't give me much problem. I wanted to wet her down good this first time since she's bound to be quite dirty under the hairs.
