Best clippers EVER!!!!!! I have a Coonhound with black nails and I'm always nervous to clip to far. Fortunately, this pair has a guide on the back so you never have to worry about slipping and clipping too far back. The guide is also adjustable which is great. Especially makes it easy and worry proof for my fiance when clipping the babies nails. He's a thousand times more stressed and nervous about it than I am. I've honestly used these on our ferrets as well. These work amazing for animals of all sizes.

Believe it or not, these have come in quite handy for me and my significant other as well. I am diabetic and have the dreaded diabetic toenails. Regular toenail cutters were not doing anything for me, so I disinfected these thoroughly, and lo and behold I found what I needed to keep my toenails and feet healthy, clean, pretty. I purchased a second pair so I have one for my pets me. My dog, she is around 65 pounds, pitbull mix, hates getting her toenails touched, cut, etc. I am able to do a quick proficient job without causing any blood shed or trauma. I've had my original pair which are use on my pets for a few years as well. Regular maintenance -after using it I clean/disinfect properly, they have remained sharp and in good working order. there are a lot of ... So far these have been my tried-and-true.

I have 3 big dogs so needed large size clippers for their nails. To be honest I rarely need to trim their nails but when I do I found these really easy to use. Great grip and they cut nice and clean. Unfortunately I have an Alaskan Malamute who thinks nail clippers are the work of the devil and it is an operation for 2 people to hold the big guy down while I very quickly trim the few nails that need cut. Cippers with a good grip and clean cut are a must for me. Great buy! No photos of nails getting cut, no one had a free had!! 🤦♀️

These are great nail clippers. They can be used on big or small dogs. It does have a nail guard on it but you still have to be very careful not to cut the quick. (It’s common to accidentally cut - Apply styptic powder if you accidentally cut, pressing a cloth, holding pressure til it stops). These are a little bit different than typical nail clippers but I find this style easier to use to cut through the nail. The dogs find it more comfortable because it easily slices the nails, instead of fighting with it to cut through large nails. I think it’s easier to hold/grip while also trying to control the dog. These are my preferred nail clippers out of any I’ve used. (My dogs HATE the kind that grinds nails most traditional aren’t made for big dogs)
My dogs absolutely hate having their nails cut so I typically have it done at the vet. I got these in hopes of making it easier on us all but they didn’t. Not the fault of the manufacturer by any means. The clippers are well made, sturdy and grip well in your hand. The clipper part is sharp and cut through my large dogs nails easily when I could get a nail here or there. There is also a guard you can use if you want to ensure to not cut the nail too short. The nail clippers are at a decent price point for the quality, I think I paid like $19.99. I would recommend these to someone who’s dog doesn’t fight them when it comes time to get a nail trim because they really are good nail clippers.
I had high hopes for these nail clippers from FURminator, as the shedding brush/combs have worked well. The rubber grips are a good size, however you can feel a roughness when the blades close. The issue I have with the clippers, is that FURminator attached a guard to keep the cut pieces of nail from being thrown. The principle is sound, the execution IMO, is a miss. With the guard in place, you can't see the entire nail, so it's possible to cut too much nail causing bleeding. Without the guard, they work well.Remove the guard to keep from drawing blood from your FUR friend.
Before I begin - I think these worked well for patient, calm, small breed dogs, but I don’t like these for cats. I was excited to have a nice pair of clippers for the cats, but this has been underwhelming and more of a hassle. The “switch” that stops/locks the clippers from retracting is loose and locks itself while you’re using it- which is annoying when your trying to work precisely and quickly with a cat with little patience. I find that you have to use it vertically or you’ll crush your cats nails off rather than cut. Also, I’m my experience, the guard is loose and will not hold a tightening even with pliers- and isn’t a reliable enough to assume you’re not going to cut too deep. It also makes it hard to see what you’re doing as it blocks the view. I wish I had ... I don’t like to be wasteful, and I wanted something that would last, but I feel these are a liability for cat nail clipping.
Overall a great-looking product. Probably perfect for dogs. I Searched Chewy for “Kitten Nail Clipper” and this came up. . . but I would not recommend for cats or kittens.Although the product says for dogs and cats, I would recommend a different product for all cats. Because the adjustable nail guide obstructs view, it’s almost impossible to see the nail while trimming, making it very difficult to avoid the nerve (since the cat’s nail is too small for the nail guide to be useful). This is a very large clipper, again not making it a good fit for tiny cat nails. . . more likely a good cigar trimmer.
Bought this some time back and just tried them out today on my cats. It’s extremely dull right. All it did was crush and tear my cat’s claws and left them ragged. It didn’t cut at all. Maybe it would work better on a dog that has thicker nails? These clippers are so dull they can’t even cut thin air. I had bought these along with a different brand of clipper, which works far better, so I hadn’t got around to trying out the furminator kind until now. Unfortunately I’ve already got rid of the packaging and it’s been too long since I bought them to return.
These worked great the four times I was able to use them. For whatever reason they will not open up! I purchased these awhile ago and the box they came in was damaged. Didn't think much of it until now. They were either damaged to begin with or returned by another customer. I don't want to speculate but hopefully if I reach out to the company directly they will replace them. They're definitely heavy duty nail clippers. Very similar to the one's we use in the clinic. Just for whatever reason damaged. Disappointing
