I have recently started my G-Shock square collection. No collection, no collector, could be without the 35th anniversary model! This beautiful wrist candy is the closest model I have to the original 1983 DW5000C, currently made in "unobtainium"! Yes! The DW 5035D-1BJR does have the same exact characteristics of the $35 Walmart model, dw5600, but this is exactly why you want it! The same features as the original. Nothing more nothing less! The engraved gold case back, DLC COATED, stainless steel case, gold accents, as well as the shimmering dial, make this one a beautiful collector piece! I would definitely recommend the seller as well as the product!!

The watch was bought in early Dec 2022 did not open it until Jan 20 when I had Kay jewelers make adjustments in the band. The watch was worn for 3 weeks and then it stopped working nothing, it wouldn't keep time because none of the hands were moving. Keep in mind this is a solar powered watch so I put it in the sun, still nothing. This was purchased on Walmart .com so i Tried to return it to Brooklyn CT store and all they could do was give me the name of the distribution ctr that shipped it to me. Shopemco DO Not Buy THIS. Not happy with this item Junk in my opinion.

Finally got my 'Casio grail' - I already own (and love!) the resin version of this but wanted the luxury feel of the full metal model. Managed to try one on in H Samuel and the very patient sales lady spent ages with me ensuring I was happy with the fit. In fact, despite being a large watch, it's actually more comfortable on the wrist than my resin version (which surprised me). The fit and finish is superb as is the high quality bracelet with a milled clasp and plenty of micro adjustment. The only (slight) negative is it can be hard to read in certain lights but it does have decent lume (including the indices on this model) and a good double LED light. Pairs easily with the app, adding a second watch was easy enough and it synched perfectly with it. In my opinion certainly this is beautiful well crafted watchBut there is a big problem with the watch design -can not see hand and indices and it is dark you can't see time which is most important thing for any watch to read the time and that is whole and main purpose of the any watch and one of the fundamental horological watch making principlesDesigner like headless checked made a huge mistake by making watch look like a dark faced smart watchWhat an idiotic design!I am in the process of writing to top executives at Casio in Japan about thisWasted my time and caused me lot of inconvenienceFelt sorry to return this watch
I bought this as a work watch and it is functional yet smart, with a good looking face and a nice colour on the metalwork.The functions are easy to use and the light is ok (for a g-shock).But who designed the app??? If I have paid for a watch which uses an app to adjust the time and stays connected to the watch I expect get just that. I don't care about Instagram or which overhyped 'influencer' is wearing your product. I don't want to have to resync and re-select my watch every time. G-Shock make good, wearable watches, the solar power seems to be working well - sort out the app!!
This is a light and versatile timepiece as well as being easy on the eye and very accurate. Great value for money. The dullness of the display takes a little time to get used to but the back light more than compensates.I haven't had the need as yet to use the Bluetooth connectivity features but will do when I travel however even without this the adjustments between time zones and daylight saving appears to be simple.What I really like about the 'solar' technology is that it totally obviates the need for the periodic replacement of batteries.
I ordered this direct from this store with a 10% discount saving. Beautiful watch on the wrist. Bracelet and case has stunning polishing and finishing - they look far superior to the resin models. Really comfortable to wear and amazing day-to-day watch. This watch has me putting my expensive Swiss automatics away in a drawer! Highly recommended.
Absolutely stunning colour I love it, definitely more of a coppery bronze but it compliments my beloved gold B5000D perfectly. It looks so good under different lighting conditions and really pops in sunlight.The build quality is excellent and it has such a nice weight and feel to it, same as my gold B5000 which i've worn daily for almost 4 years and is admittedly still my favourite, but only by a fraction.I'm a huge fan of these full metals.
I am not impressed with the overall quality of this Casio watch. I own several like it and this one isnt as it was described on the site. The numbers of time and date almost blend into the background. Don't count on the Luminous glow to light up the face bc it is a tiny light in the corner and doesn't stay lit except for 3 seconds. The band seems very cheap which makes me believe these arent truly casio watches at all but recreations of the brand or knock-off brand with a casio label. I intend on reaching out to Casio about this bc i havent ever seen them put a watch out with this low of quality. Overall, I wouldn't recommend this watch to anyone else.
Well built, like all G-Shock watches. The only downside is the dial’s less than ideal legibility, especially in poor lighting conditions. I assume the design concept was “stealth”, however, the rest of the watch is far from “stealthy”. The polishing methods used make the bracelet and case visible from afar. Considering this, the dial could’ve used some more contrast. Perhaps something as simple as white hands and markers.
