The watch after setting up would only stay connected to Bluetooth for three minutes then disconnect . The only way to get it to reconnect was to unpair it, delete the app, download the app again, re- pair the watch and completely set the settings up all over again. Did this seven times. Even tried it on my wifes iPhone 12 same issue. Spoke with Casio customer service tried a full reset to no avail. Determined defective. For $380 you would think you could get a watch that works, very frustrating. REI was great and took the return to be returned to Casio. Love REI !!! Casio G shock watches are my favorite everyday watch for many years now! It started when I worked in construction and needed a rugged watch that could take a beating! This brand did! I have owned a few only because they lasted so long! Now that I am retired I decided to get a new Mudmaster GShock with Bluetooth so setting it with a phone app makes it easy! Best one yet!

Especially if you can get on sale below msrp. It hadeverythong the gwg1000 and gwg2000 has plus a pedometer sensor which is a must have for me, minus the solar. If you are handy and dont mind changing batteries every few yrs, there is nothing else that has this setup.
This is the most accurate timepiece Ive owned. I love the high contrast face, making the watch easy to read at a glance and aesthetically pleasing. The number of functions and preferences you can set is quite impressive. It is surprisingly light and not cumbersome at all! Very comfortable and its presence is minimal despite the size. My only wish is that the barometer/altimeter would never require manual input to maintain accuracy - but Im sure that would make the price significantly greater. Making these adjustments is very easy and fast though, and for the purpose of tracking metrics over a short period of time (as intended) I couldnt ask for more. Bottom line is: this watch is an incredible piece of craftsmanship for its price point. I am very happy with it.
I read all the youtube reviews on this and the big brother GWG1000-1A3. I ended up keeping both and they are fantastic! This one I really love because of how comfortable it wears. I have 7inch wrists and I was initially scared at how some reviews said how big it is. But once I got it, it doesn't feel or look big. It looks perfect on my wrist. If I'm wearing a long sleeve shirt with a tight cuff, such as a dress shirt, then I would have issues with it fitting over the watch. But most other shirts I have no trouble. Normally I just push my sleeve up a tad so I can see the watch. But I have also put my sleeve over it, put it does take a little effort to pull up the cuff and over the watch if I want to see the time. The features on it are great. Normally I dont like larger face watches but I like this style. Purchased it to wear everyday while working around the house, hunting, etc. Have only had it for about 2 weeks but its very comfortable. I previously had a Lumnox and it didnt work the majority of the time I owned it. Take the time to watch the YouTube video showing the Casio plant that makes the watchs. The quality level and detail that goes into their assembly process is amazing. Its well worth a few minutes of your time if you are thinking about purchasing this watch. Time will tell and its early but so far I am satisfied.
I’ve been looking at this watch for over 6 months and finally made the decision to purchase it. Upon arrival it was well packaged and in mint condition. Very pleased.I knew the style of the watch was going to be large as I have other g shock watches and done some research on this before buying. The way the strap fits means there’s little to no gap around the wrist and sits well. I’m of pretty big build 6’2ft and my wrist is on the bigger side.
Absolutely love this model! I owned a couple G-Shock watches in 09’. I sold them and went to Apple watches shortly after. I missed the feeling, of having a real watch, and decided to get another one. I waited a week, but it was worth it. It’s light, sleek, and it’s loaded with features. Considering collecting watches because of it!
Really love this watch. Looks great. Lot of features. Ive had it for about 18 months. Battery is completely shot. Was having issues with it for a few months. Fifured i just needed to wear it outside more. Now it doesnt work at all. I purchased protection on it. Going to see if theyll replace it.
