G-SHOCK, the watch that brought the new concept of toughness to the timepiece. It began with a reckless challenge to the conventional wisdom of the day, a developer's belief that it was possible to construct a watch that wouldn't break, even if dropped, Project Team Tough was formed to build it in 1981. The team created over 200 prototypes one after another over a period of about two years. They finally arrived at a shock-resistant structure. This marked the birth of a technology that is tough to the core. And G-SHOCK has continued its unceasing evolution ever since, in pursuit of greater toughness in every respect, from structure and materials to functions. Today, the development team's passionate challenge and constant efforts have reached fruition in Triple G Resist, a structure with the strength to withstand 3 types of gravitational acceleration. In its pursuit of usability under any circumstances, moreover, G-SHOCK realized installation of Smart Access, a system assuring agile, reliable operability. Stronger than ever, and targeting even greater strength, G-SHOCK's challenge is never-ending.

Customer Service is excellent with super fast response when communicating. The watch also shipped super quick.Awesome watch but cheap feeling buckle so I had to return. I bought the Mudmaster instead which has a super strong feeling buckle. Being a Master of G watch the GW-9400-1BER is beautiful that feels premium so is high quality but just let down slightly by the buckle so Casio should change it. Also the box was tiny and G-Shock are BIG so ship with larger box.

It’s everything I thought it would be. At first I was a bit disappointed with the screen being negative and not very readable in low light but it has auto light which sort of solves that problem because outside the screen is fine. I had wanted the black and red variant but a week after owning this I got used to it and I now don’t want to take it off, it has in fact replaced my GBD-H2000 because of just how nice it is. Don’t worry about the negative display this thing looks cool AF! The quality is top notch as you’d expect from a G-Shock also the buttons are big and easy to use great for outdoors while wearing cloves for instance! I highly recommend the rangeman it’s fantastic!!

After using it 6months, I thought I would write a quick review. If you're looking at this model in particular, it's because you think the black on black looks awesome. And it does in person, too. The display is harder to read, but "harder to read" doesn't mean this will be an issue. I learned the right angle to hold it for best legibility very quickly, and it's muscle memory by now. It's only ever an issue in dim lighting conditions, but there's an auto-backlight function. Despite using this liberally set at 3s, it's failed do drop the battery down from H, where it's sat since day 2.Pros:- Forget about ever worrying about your battery- Lovely design- Forgot how much I missed hourly signals- Very sturdy and secure strap- Large front-facing light button is easy ... MoreAfter using it 6months, I thought I would write a quick review. Once you're used to how different pressures and trends work in your area, your predictions will be pretty sharp- Altimeter is fun.- Compass got me home once.- Multiband !!! There's just something very satisfying knowing your watch is always accurate to a fraction of a second. For all intents and purposes, your watch is as accurate as an atomic clock.Neutral:- Thermometer is fairly useless since it's against your body heat. What you can do to get use out of it, is set it after you've worn it about an hour at home at your usual home temperature. It will then shift relative to this known point. Using it to actually read the temp is a non-starter unless you want to take it off and leave it to acclimate.Bad:- Strap metal should be black too. That's my only fault.

It’s a great watch with lots of different features. I was disappointed with the colour scheme. Being military black I expected a stealth watch but some of the buttons are a brushed steel look which to my eyes ruin the look. I really don’t understand the designer doing this????It would be also good to have an auto light on when tilting the watch as other G shocks.Don’t get me wrong it’s a great watch but 4/5 for the above issues
Really happy with it! The Mudmaster-1000 is too expensive and the Mudmaster-100 lacks requisite functions and no tough solar (missed a trick there). This has all the good functions, solar and looks the biz. Super comfortable, great backlight. the only exception is the Altimeter function which seems to need some configuration to get accurate readings; however, if you're a pilot then you'll probably go for a different model!Solid bit of kit - strongly recommend over and above the mudmaster.
I bought the watch for my husband's birthday and he was shocked when saw the gift. I've realized how men love G-Shock. As he said it was really nice and marvellous options for the price. It's worth to price. Thank you G-Shock.
It would be this one. Cool as. Great shape, very comfy, amazing functionality and the negative face gives it that extra stealthy look. If you want an incredible watch that's more intelligent than you are and so tough it might just give you a slap for the fun of it - then this is for you.
I have a number of G-Shocks and this is by far my favourite. Rugged but light, big but not too big. No issues with reading the display, I like the negative digits. Instead of having hundreds of useless functions, this watch has ones you need, and will actual use if you spend anytime outdoors. No nonsense, professional and tough.
I love the G Shock G9400,this one is my 5th Rangeman. I have never had an issue with this model,it is pretty much bulletproof, and it looks great in all black. The only drawback is that some people find the negative display difficult to read in sunlight, but that is the case for almost neg displays. But the beauty of the G9400 is the huge amount of bezels and straps you can customise your watch with. But I have owned a G9400 since they first went on sale, and my first one has never needed a battery change,as it is a rechargeable battery..couple of days on the windowsill,or if you have on,a solar watch charger.
Fantastic service - the GW-9400 watch was delivered within a day with medium level of charge. It took less than one more day to fully charge the battery. Synchronisation with radio time signal has been faultless. The barometer reading matched that of the nearest weather station. North is where it was supposed to be. The negative LCD display excels outdoors and at night. I like the calm businesslike monochrome look.
