I gotcthis one and I never look back. It makes every kind of coffee y I u can think of. Fresh grinded coffee beans everytime. It's sp pricey but it's totally worthed. Coffee comes out perfect everytime. I would totally recommend this to everyone. I stopped buying Starbucks coffee and I have had it for 4 years and still going strong. I can't imagine going back to old coffee machines. Buy it and u won't regret it

Easy to use

The espresso machine is easy to setup as well as user friendly. No guesswork as you set up the machine to your preferences. I will say as some others have about the milk dispenser... it doesn't get the milk as hot as I would like it but it doesn't go through the machine either so it works as designed. If you want the milk hotter, then just use the steam wand afterwards, it does a great job. Once you select the preferences for the coffee beans and the coffee strength, the machine does the rest with a push of a button. Very satisfied with the product and would highly recommend to anyone wanting to purchase an automatic esspresso machine.

Excellent superautomatic machine, excellent coffee supplier

Purchased the Gaggia Accademia from Whole Latte Love outlet on Ebay. The machine listed as manufacturer refurbished, but it was brand new only it was not in original factory box. Whole Latte Love included filter, scoop, brush, descaler, coffee cleaner. Everything brand new. Packaging was double boxed with double cushion inserts. Better that original Styrofoam that the original box would have. So, the machine is mint new and Whole Latte Love understated all the other supplies that were added to the machine. Had to contact technical support to get it to prime since it was new, and technical support was spot on in advice over the phone- patient, clear, and solved the problem. My Gagia automatic allows others in the family to make various types of coffee, including those some may find somewhat difficult to make, e.g., Cappuccino. Great Machine

We love the Gagggia! I was leary because we have had two Miele coffee systems in the past and wanted something different. The Gaggia is much easier to use, and makes perfect coffee and cappuccino. There is a bit of maintenance to the machine because of the smaller water reservoir drip tray, but if you're owned any super automatic before its not a big deal. The frothing carafe is so easy and works perfectly. We would highly recommend this machine.

Great coffee lots of options but needs more attention filling and cleaning

I have had super auto coffee machine now for some time. This is my first Gaggia and the Accademia 1 has lots going for it. Easy to program, lots of options makes a great cup of coffee. I like the steam system. My only problem with it is the small water tank needs filling often and it seems to send a lot of water in the inside spill tray that needs to be empty often.

At a simple push of a button, very high quality coffee beverages are prepared fresh for you in under a minute. I always look forward to waking up early in the morning for the perfect cup or two of espresso. Super coffee maker that almost does it all!

One of the best bean to cup coffee makers out there. It does cost a bit, but the quality and design is worth it. A decent footprint means it doesn't use a lot of worktop space, while the design means its a talking point when people visit. A very easy to use machine that produces a super coffee if looked after well. The milk attachment allows consistent lattes to be created, while the multiple programming options make it easy to adjust for preferences.Unfortunately like any super-automatic machine, the milk heating mechanism is not the best, but the Accademia has a steam wand unlike other similar machines that allows the temperature to be raised just right for that perfect latter.

A barista who has earned family status and will be kept on staff should our new baristas requiring a particularly precise or careful approach tendencies leave our cup dry. The Accadamia seems well built and requires less that a computer science degree to program. It is relatively quiet (compared to the Jura) and it does not sound stressed at times that you should request a cup of coffee, (especially with the flow control full closed). Making milk based drinks sounds like backing the local feral cat into a corner. Oh yea and expect some clean up here too.Did I mention high-maintenance? The drip trays are relatively small and require attention every few cups along with constant notice that attention is needed to dumping these as well as the puck drawer before making your next cup of coffee. This barista is more concerned about keeping itself clean than it is in making coffee. I swear that it uses more water to bathe itself than it uses to make coffee. Hence the frequent need to dump the trays. This also gives the illusion that the water reservoir is only half its size. While the Accadamia has performed well thus far @ 300 cups, it has a long way to go to prove its loyalty to serving true coffeeholics. Local coffee shops have long learned the value of a beautiful barista and perhaps the designers of the Accadamia are cut from the same cloth. If waking up to a beautiful barista sitting on your counter stirs your soul then this is perfect for you. Your gem will invite many WOWS from your friends along with some envy.

The best of the type available for the price!

We researched many Super Automatic coffee machines before we decided on the Gaggia Accademia. Apparently, Gaggia also makes the Phillips Saeco Xelsis EVO since they are very similar, but the Gaggia is not as complex and the cost is lower. Overall, we are very pleased with this purchase. The only downsides are what others report: small water reservoir, small internal drip pan and not as hot as many like. However, the hotness is offset by the inclusion of a separate steam frothing wand, which heats drinks in only a few seconds. Refilling the water reservoir and dumping the internal drip tray takes little time and is very easy also. Coffee machines without these minor negatives cost MUCH more; we love this machine!
