My boyfriend, his brother and I decided to try this game for our family game night and we were thrilled at the humor! We could not stop laughing at the new features and the wild yet realistic new additions to this game such as side gigs and taking dares instead of penalties. Playing the Hasbro Gaming- The Game of Life: Quarter Life Crisis is really fun! It is very realistic and true to life. The goal of the game is to pay off your debt first! We had a lot of laughs playing this game. It was funny that you have to pay rent, can have babies, get married, have a job and lose that job. It's a great game for adults to play and have a great time and it is so relatable! Highly recommend it!

I love playing board games, so I was excited to give this one a go. All you need is 2-4 players and a sense of humor. I like that this game comes with instructions that are easy to follow. I also like that this game is exclusively for adults. I played this game with my friends for over an hour. We laugh so hard and had so much fun. The back of the cards are so hilarious, it says and ask you all sort of embarrassing questions. Overall, I really like this game, if your looking for something to pass the time or something to do. The Parody Version of the Game of Life gave us quite a few laughs. They did a great job with homes and jobs that fit current culture. It seems much more relevant to this generation. The game has the basics of the old version, but changes were made that make it much more relateable to younger people. Jobs like video game professional and podcast host brought smiles and laughs. Loved housing like sleeping on friends couch. The only suggestion I could make is that it would have been nice to have more job and housing choices. I received this item for free in exchange for my review.
I really like the concept of this version of The Game of Life. For some players, it might seem unfair how one player is getting really far ahead while you're stuck in debt. I really like how this mechanic works because it is supposed to feel that way. It's a game about life and this version really brings up the fact that many parts of life are unfair. It is a great concept with decent execution, but it easily could've been more fun. The way the board is mapped out is really awkward and doesn't seem interesting. Pick this game up if you're looking to play at a party with some drinks because otherwise, it's not a fun game for being competitive.
This game is hilarious and fun for the whole “adult” family. Being at the quarter-life point myself, this game is even more funny. It is a highly exaggerated take on the struggles of debt, housing, and jobs 20+ year olds face. I love everything about the game except two things: it is really short and the spinner doesn’t have a clear pointer. Overall, I’d reccomend the game for a funny night with family or friends!
I bought this in the store looking for something to help pass our Covid time. My kids are teen and preteen and love the game of Life. I didn't want to be overly touching anything in the store, so didn't read any reviews, didn't look carefully at the box (completely missed that it's an "adult" game). So when I got home I wasn't sure about it. Many of the cards are a bit too mature for our kids (a Master of Seduction description applies), but we simply went through the deck and removed about a dozen questionable cards and it hasn't impacted the game play. It's a fun variation. Maybe after playing it another five times the novelty will wear off, but not yet. It's different enough from the other game of Life to make it interesting. With the main goal being to get out of debt vs get to the end of the game board, I felt the game went much more quickly. One drawback is that only four people can play, although it's possible that two more could be added using a car from the other board.
Bought this for my college student daughter for Christmas. We actually played it while she was home during the holidays and had a blast. I thought for sure she'd want to leave it at my house, but she actually took it back to her dorm to play with her roommates, who also enjoyed it. I was very pleasantly surprised. We used to play the original on family game nights when she was younger, so we both really enjoyed the updated content for today (social media, cell phones, selfies, dating apps, etc., all while living in your parents' basement). It was really fun and perfect for young adults (we actually skipped a few questions as mother and daughter).
No idea why this has a 4.5 star average this game is so short and was no where close to the fun the original game provided. The game felt cheap since the spinner mechanism left us wondering what number we actually just spun since there is no actual pointer. The whole dare concept is a joke in order to avoid the "bad" things. And there is literally no strategy to this game at all. If i could return this game i would do so in a heart beat, but i already opened it and played it once... I do not ever plan on playing this again.
I first played this game with a couple of friends. Though it is similar to the game of life, it is very different and much more entertaining. We literally laughed throughout the entire game and had a very good time with the rules and outcome of this game. At first, I had a difficult time in understanding and following the rules as you naturally want to play the game with the normal Life game rules, but eventually caught on. Loved the game!
