The Garmin Forerunner 745 offers huge value for money. I bought this watch after my Fitbit died, and was in the middle of a training program leading into a half marathon. The GPS is accurate, and gives a great overview of your training statistics, offering daily workout suggestions and advising how much rest your body needs to recover. With the added benefit of being a smartwatch, you can receive notifications to your watch - my only negative would be the notifications seem to be all or nothing - I haven't worked out how to receive/block notifications from specific apps. Has a do not disturb function for night which is great! 10/10 would buy again!

This is definitely an upgrade from the old 745 and 945 forerunner Garmin. The battery life is excellent, multiple sporting activities is everything you need as a runner, triathlon and swimming. The watch is comfortable, light for training, racing and everyday wear. Has accurate GPS tracking, pacing, cadence, elevation, training effect etc. Payment and delivery were so easy and quick. The service by Johnny Appleseed was amazing, thank you!

I have got Garmin Forerunner 745 for less than a month now and I have loved it so much because of it's good quality, high accuracy and resistance. All these functions to keep tracking of your body, monitoring feature are best of the best. The only thing I have to complain about is about Chinese language support for notification message. I am living in US but I have connections with people in my hometown and receive message in Chinese on daily basis. I did lots of research and found that the watch sold in US doesn't support Chinese language by design while having Chinese version of Garmin Connect in mobile. Would you please consider the requirements of customers like me

I’ve been using this over 6 weeks everyday. I mainly use it for a lot of open water and pool swimming, as well as cycling. I absolutely love it. Having spent most of my life competitively swimming, I was very cautious about getting a sports watch, but I wanted a watch with great GPS accuracy for open water swimming, which wouldn’t interfere with my stroke (if this is possible) - the 745 fits that profile. I like having an idea of my HR without having to wear a body strap and enjoy reviewing the intervals of pool sets after the session. I upgraded from a Forerunner 910XT which I kept for about 10 years. The 745 provides many cool features and data points. It take a bit of time to get used to the menu navigation but there are some good videos out there and I could customize the data displays for each sport. I also have the heart-rate monitor PRO so it provides more insights on my swimming. I used to need a computer to upload my data but now it all goes quickly via wifi and phone. The battery life is good. I almost forget to recharge the watch because it lasts so long.

I have been using Garmin for my running/swim & biking for many years and haven’t used any other. When my last watch the Forerunner 735 was getting old and as I was about to change to Coros, just called the Garmin customer service to see if they had any suggestions. I was told about the 745 and I sure did get one last month to see how it was any different. I really lived to its expectations with some fine features: extending the battery life, accuracy in heart rate, music storage, Garmin pay and so many other excellent options!!! I highly recommend this watch. Love it!
I received my Garmin 745 about a month ago. I have had previous Garmin watches with less features for about 10 years now. Last winter I had tried using a whoop band to better track fitness and recovery. Ended up returning it after 3 weeks of use for many reasons. Did some researching and found the garmin 745 could do basically the same sleep analysis, but not hrv. I am ok with that. The only thing I wish this watch had was compatibility with my itunes library. Otherwise, I am so happy with this watch!!
Exactly what I was hoping for. A definite step up from the forerunner 45. The multi sport activities suit my needs exactly. Perfect size if the 945 / 955 will be too large for you.An ideal watch for someone looking to up their running distance and throw in some cycling and swimming in the mix too.Mainly upgraded so I had a watch with the independent music connectivity and the feature is very easy to use and exactly what you want.A great choice if you can pick up on sale. Still a solid competitor to the new line of Garmin watches.
This is my first smart watch. I use a Garmin Edge 530 for cycling but it is clumsy for recording non-cycling activities. I wanted a watch to do this, including walk, kayak and pilates. I also wanted to monitor heart rate throughout the day after some tachycardia episodes. These all work well. Other features I wanted were Garmin Pay and ability to play podcasts or music. I also like the bright colour. Garmin Pay is great. Podcasts not so much. I still have not found a completely satisfactory way to download podcasts. Neither the Podcast app nor Spotify managed to actually download a podcast. I've managed to use Garmin Express to move podcast files onto the watch but they show up as songs rather than podcasts and it's all a bit clumsy.
