I found it difficult to program and review the route. On 2 occasions it did not give the best route. We also used the rand McNally and google maps at the same time. There’s not much point in spending that kind of money for something that needs to be checked, checked, and double checked.

I’m loving my new Garmin 895. It’s easy to operate and the large screen makes a big difference. My purchase through Techno RV was fast and flawless as usual.
My experience has been very satisfying, the unit was very easy to setup and program for my RV. Updates were quick and the ability to customize the display is a welcome feature. I have only just started to use it but it saved me a lot of headache on the first trip by avoiding some tight turns in an urban area.
The unit works perfectly when towing my travel trailer to various camping locations. Trusted guidance without worrying about being sent down a wrong path or road as has been done by supposed RV GPS apps.
I purchased the Garmin RV 895 to help guide my way while towing my 26' travel trailer with my 2500 truck. You can enter the specifics for your own set-up and the GPS will guide you to your destination with your rig on mind. You can pre-plan your trip using the unit disconnected from the base as its batteries provide 2 hours of power.
We just got home from a 4,000 mile trip to the East coast and the Chesapeake Bay Area. My old Garmin was starting to give me some strange directions so I decided to upgrade to the Garmin RV 895 about two weeks before we planned to leave. I updated the software and maps then used it for a couple of small trips into town to see how it navigated. Since I have used Garmin for a few years the learning curve was not very difficult to use it for basic navigation.I was truly impressed with this GPS as it didn’t send me on any wrong roads and always gave me sufficient notice of upcoming turns and what lanes I needed to be in. So far so good. Haven't even scratched the surface as to what this unit can do. Seems to do what it is supposed to do. I double check it with a free trucker app and they seem to agree. Don't blindly just put in an address and follow as you may have done with a car. There has been a time or two that I didn't agree with the route and made changes.
Made the switch from Rand to Garmin. Nice large screen and very bright. Fits great in my GMC. Puts me on bypass’s around major cities too (495,295 & 287)Had multiple questions and Techno RV got back to me within 24hrs. Highly recommend them and this product.
