Pros: Having always used Garmin GPS , I found this to be very easy to use, extremely intuitive. I believe anyone using this for the first time will be very pleased. To update the maps and software you must use the computer, which was also easy. Pros: Nice and simple, compact and somewhat pliable protection for the 5' Nuvi when walking about with it in your pocket, without worry of keys, etc. marring the Nuvi.Cons: Cannot accomodate the 5' 2597 with its detachable mount in place... so a bit of a bother to remove it from the dash mount and put it into the case before throwing it into a storage pocket/console of the car... but that's not the case's fault, it's a shortcoming of the slim 2597 design.Other thoughts:

Pros: Well made slipcase for a 5' GPS. It is branded Garmin and fits my 3590 very well and protects it from scuffs.Cons: It's a bit snug, but my assumption is that over time it will probably stretch a bit and the GPS will be easier to remove.Other thoughts: Great case. I would recommend it to others and may buy another one for my other 5' Garmin.
Nice soft case fits the 5" Garmin units nicely. My complaint is this slip case will allow your GPS to slip out of the case and hit the ground before you know what happened. I just happened to catch my Garmin after it was 3/4 of the way out of the case heading for the parking lot concrete. I am trying to figure out how to put some kind of a Velcro strip over the top of the case to keep it in.
When I received the case I was a a little disappointed. It is a nice fleece/type lining, snug and compact but I can barely get the Garmin 5" inside it. I thought it would have given me room for the clip-on back piece too, but it didn't and has no place to put it so I have to carry it separately with the case (opportunity to lose it). I use both the dashmount and windshield suction cup for use so the clip-on is left attached to the Garmin when I remove the device from the vehicle.
Pros: Nice snug fit for the unit. My main appeal was the FREE with unit purchase offer. I pride myself in taking care of everything I have. I also purchased a small backpack for all the things I need for my job. Had it not been free, I probably would not have gotten it. Would I recommend it to someone else, if they tend to let gadgets lay around to possibly get misused, or dropped, yes...but this depends on individual habits.Cons: It will eventually become unusable in one way or another...rip, torn seems, etc.Other thoughts: It's projected value is reasonable.
