I was initially happy with this watch. One day after the 12 month passed, I noticed condensation building in the watch.I inquired with Garmin and I was told I could either buy a new one, or send it back to them for repair at cost close to buying a new one as it was not covered under warranty.None of the watch places were able to assist nor the mobile phone retailers in the shopping centres. As the water had been inside for quite some time while I decided I would never purchase a digital watch again and threw it in the bin.

I had read the reviews about this watch before buying and already knew that the touch screen was temperamental, which it is, but to be honest that's not proved a problem to me.You can set the watch to present the digital screen when you raise your wrist and then from there it's so easy to use. It syncs with my phone and apps perfectly and tracks steps, sleep, etc without hassle. It also only needs charging every few days which is brilliant.

Finally a smart watch that looks stylish, not "sporty". Purchased this Garmin vivomove 3S after doing some research online. I have a very small wrist and didn't want a thick and clunky looking watch but did want enough smart watch apps to make it worthwhile. This watch does everything that I need including walking, hiking, cycling, swimming, and many other activities like yoga and running. It has also been very interesting to track my sleep and hydration and has made me more aware of keeping my water intake higher. I was not interested in the Smart Pay feature so this model was my choice. The watch is easy to set up and use. It is very light and comfortable and I hardly feel it on my wrist. A negative point would be that the battery only lasts approximately three days but the watch still functions as an analogue if the battery dies. It does however recharge very quickly so as long as I keep an eye on the battery level, so far it has not been an issue. The only other negative comment would be that the digital screen is hard to read in bright sunlight so sometimes it's been a bit of a challenge to set the activity or to review how many steps etc. that show on the screen. Overall I am very pleased with this Garmin vivomove 3S watch as it has all the smart functions that I need.

Looks Decent, Own a couple of Garmin watches, this seems to give a good combo of old style looks with smart features. As its a christmas present only thing left to find out is if it has garmin pay as its not touch screen. If it does, then it will be a good watch. Allows messages to recieve with apple, but is more.robust than fragile apple watch. So fingers crossed. But I do reommend Garmin, just make sure of what you want vs what eco system you are using.
Absolutely love this watch. It looks like an elegant analogue watch, the brass colour face is really nice. And then incoming - a notification! And then someone says wow! I didn't realise it was a smart watch! It's fantastic, tracks sleep, heart rate, breath rate, body battery, and you can reply to texts (texts only though) with some present responses. I like that I can see all my notifications come through and read them on the watch, even when my phones in the other room. It's also really subtle - I feel like it can often be obvious when people are flicking through messages on smart watches. Doesn't have as many features and ones with digital faces, but I don't miss anything. I mostly just love that it looks analogue, and then the hands move and the led text pops up ... MoreAbsolutely love this watch. Would highly recommend this to anyone who wants a professional looking analogue watch but also wants smart watch features. (Garmin support is also fantastic if you do have any issues). And such great value for money compared to other smart watches.
Great watch with great monitoring sensors. Software if ahead of most smart watches. The only problem is the OLED screen is blurry and unreadable especially at night. Had to return for a replacement. As it turns out, a number of other users have had the same issue with this colour model. It is most likely a manufacturer fault or a design fault due to the Color of the watch face and the OLED. I have another grey silver version without this issue and I am loving it.
I decided to move to a Garmin from a Fitbit and as such, I’m still learning the Garmin way. The most noticeable difference is that Garmin’s Connect app has far more detail than Fitbit did. I love the stats and have enjoyed this aspect. Physically, the VivoMove 3S looks lovely, and I’m thrilled it’s waterproof! But it has a few clunky features which I thought Garmin would have under control given they are considered industry leaders...1. The most annoying is that the touch screen isn’t clear. It’s going to happen, being a hybrid watch, but as someone who needs reading glasses, it makes it all the more difficult to decipher what you’re looking at.2. It required more “setting up” than my Fitbit which was annoying. It took a few weeks to get just right and I still have things I need to adjust.3. It often (several times daily) has trouble connecting to my iPhone so I needed to quickly learn how to sync it. Again, annoying.4. It needs to be told that I’m exercising and doesn’t pick up a repetitive movement until you’ve been doing it for 10 odd minutes and so if you’ve forgotten to set the activity, it won’t count in your stats. Again, annoying. Fitbit has a much shorter timeframe and automatically picked up activity.Overall I’m still deciding if I’ll keep it or sell it and either go back to a Fitbit or upgrade to a Vivoactive4. If I was buying again, I think I’d go for the Vivoactive4.
Whether you are going to love or be disappointed in this watch really depends on your main reason for buying it. If you are fitness buff and want to have every step accurately recorded, you'll be disappointed. If you are like me and just want a aesthetically pleasing watch that alerts you to notifications without having to dig your phone out of your bag, then you won't be too disappointed. I can confirm other reviews that say that the glass isn't particularly sensitive ... it can be difficult to bring up the notification screen, it can be difficult to read in bright light situations and the notification buzzer, even on it's highest level is quite subtle. But even given all this, I don't regret purchasing it. It's gorgeous and meets all my requirements.
Whilst this watch is very pretty it is no use for tracking activities. The touchscreen is extremely temperamental and often doesn't work, the GPS link to my phone has never worked and the accuracy of the few activities I have got it to work with is awful - eg my walk today it said I'd done 4.4 and Strava said I'd done 5.2 miles (& this happened with the only other activity I managed to get it to track - and that time I used the OS map tracker to record my distance which is very accurate and again this watch was a long way out).In addition one way the smart functions wake up is when you twist your arm but this is what you do to be able to see the time and sometimes the effect of waking up the smart functions is to turn the watch hands to a nonsense time, often but ... MoreWhilst this watch is very pretty it is no use for tracking activities. I deeply regret it and will do so for the next few years as I'm not going to be able to afford to buy another and so am stuck with an extremely poor watch. My recommendation is therefore DON'T BUY!
