Not the best Rod for span of my 6 burner bbq. Only 3.5kg of meat and major sagging. Even fell out from the drive motor slot because of it. I tried a 2.5 kg lump and performed much better. Maybe would be good with 4 burner bbq.

Excellent product. After 4 uses over a campfire we are very happy with its performance. The unit is easy to set up, use and clean. We have purchased a jaffle iron bag for storing the rotisserie and it all fits in nicely. The "D" size batteries have done 10 hours so far but we will not need to purchase more as the unit is easily modified to run off 12 volt. One improvement I suggest is a heat shield for the motor as it can get quite hot when cooking over an open fire. I highly recommend the rotisserie.

Bar unscrews

I’ve used this battery rotisserie a couple of times snd the bar does unscrew as the motor goes the wrong way. Easy fix, put the batteries in back to front and the motor goes the other way. I think 4kg is optimistic but it handles a chicken or medium joint well. Pretty good for the money.

Good for the price, but needs some simple changes.

Good budget priced unit and not real hungry on batteries. Only 4 stars as the rotation of the motor gradually undoes the screw together shaft, the motor needs to rotate in the other direction.

Good rod

No amateur when It comes to spits and smokers. Good product, working perfectly fine, just don't over load it. Upon your first use be sure to use pliers to tighten rods well, otherwise they may unscrew.

Great Add-on for BBQ Grill

I bought this to install on my Madator Randiant Move with my home-made riser. It works great!Installation is easy. Only need to consider your grill setup. The motor won't unscrew the shaft connection as was mentioned in Bunnings AU site before. I didn't use plier to tighten it up before use but you can do so if worry. I haven't tested the battery life for this kit, but heard that a pair of batteries can last for a long time.Besides the power difference, the battery version has: 1. shorter shaft (for 4-5 burners in fact); 2. smaller prong forks; 3. no counterweight. The brackets and the diameter of the shaft are the same with the AC version.

Poor Quality

Stake parts did not line up...1st use cooking 2 chickes combined weight of 6kg... joining thread in centre sheared off birds fell into coals

Rod snapped after 30 minutes

I bought this so I wouldn't need to bother with charcoal. Very easy to assemble and the motor ran oh so whisper quiet. I loaded it with 6kgs out of the rated 8kgs of chicken gyros and within 30 minutes the rod snapped.

Just what i wanted. Fits perfectly and works a treat! Although delivery was a bit slow. Took 4 days longer then other products i orderd on the same day.
