Gaviscon is a life saver? Plenty of times I have woken during the night to the paid of reflux burning ion my stomach or throat. I keep a bottle of Gaviscon next to be bed, it is so soothing, odd feeling yet still not too bad a taste and within seconds after swallowing it, the pain is going away. i highly recommend it.
