The GEARWRENCH ratcheting combination wrenches are the original patented ratcheting wrench! The ratcheting box end is designed to need as little as 5° to move fasteners versus 30° for standard wrenches. The wrenches are made from strong alloy steel with a bright, full polish chrome finish. The ratcheting box end features off-corner loading for a better grip on the fastener and reduces fastener rounding. They're available in various lengths and styles, including XL length, stubby, flex, stubby flex, and locking flex.

The larger sizes came in handy within a week of purchasing this set. I bought the 7 piece set GearWrench 9900 first. ($35 at Menards) Then i bought this set. ($59) That was a pretty good set for me but I needed the 16mm and the 18mm that were skips. I bought those for ~$25 a piece on Home Essentials Direct. So I'm about $145 into the set and I have filled most of the stops on this organizer. The remaining skips are 23mm (this set skips 23mm) then 20mm and finally 11mm. I can't find where GearWrench even makes the 23mm and 20mm in this style. The model numbers would be 9920 and 9923. (the sets are 9900, 9901, 9902 and this set which is 9903) The individual wrenches are 99(size here) like 9916 for the 16mm. I don't think I'm going to buy the 11mm but I may at some point if I need it often. There is a set that comes with this same organizer that skips only 23mm and 20mm. It also goes down to 8mm where my setup only goes down to 10mm.The organizer is pretty nice as this is a really heavy set and most organizers wouldn't put up with the weight. However, the wrenches only go in one specific spot and that is difficult to determine. The little tabs can get damaged and at times you need to put a lot of force into getting the wrenches in our out of it. I took off one star due to my frustration with the plastic organizer. At this point i found that if I leave the spot for 20mm empty the rest of the wrenches fit ok. (picture of this included) I hope it holds up to the test of time.It is specifically designed for this style wrench and the wrenches need to be in specific spots. Therefore, my skips of 16 and 18mm really stood out when looking at it.

These are now my default tool for nuts and bolts. Easier to grab for one of these than a socket and socket wrench. These ratcheting wrenches by GearWrench are a necessity for every modern DIYer. In my opinion there is no longer use for the traditional wrenches. The ratcheting action of these wrenches make them so easy and versatile. The micro ratcheting allows you to work in the tightest spaces with as little as 5 degrees needed ratchet. The head on each of the wrenches flexes up to 180 degrees to allow you to use them in those awkward angles. There is no need to look any further for ratcheting wrenches these are a great starter pack.

These wrenches are very high quality and very handy. I found the ratchet box end to be far more useful than a regular box end as once I had the wrench on the bolt or nut I didn’t have to lift the wrench and reset it in to continue tightening (or loosening) the nut. This made the job go much faster as I also didn’t drop the wrench into the bowels of the piece of equipment that I was working on.The swivel on the ratchet end is also a real plus because it makes it much easier to get to the nut and I could also swivel the wrench to a good positon for turning the nut without scraping my knuckles. The ratchet itself is well designed as it only requires a small amount of wrench rotation to catch which really helps in tight spots. The wrenches are also very high quality ... MoreThese wrenches are very high quality and very handy. These wrenches work very well. The ratcheting box end pivots so that the box end can fit into tight spots. I just used that feature to tighten a workbench assembly that has deep U-channel legs and frame. The pivot allowed the box end to fit into the cramped space and still allow the handle to extend sideways enough to torque the nut. The ratcheting feature made it easy to repetitively stroke the nut tight.Every indication is that these wrenches are well made. The ratcheting is very smooth with no perceptible play on the return stroke. The box end heads fit correctly over hex nuts.I am making room in my toolbox for these wrenches.

This is a really nice SAE 7-piece ratcheting combination wrench set made by GearWrench. One great feature of this set is the ratcheting end is flexible so it can be adjusted to any convenient angle from 0 to 90 degrees relative to the shaft. Since they are comibination wrenches, they also have a matching sized open end wrench on the other end of the shaft for those nuts and bolts where you can't get the closed end onto them. This set will make a nice addition to the tools I carry in my truck for emergencies and it includes a handy plastic tray to keep the wrenches organized.

Very nice wrench set from GearWrench. I have been using GearWrench products professionally for years. This set is great quality with a lifetime warranty. Nice features with 180 deg swivel heads, a knurled edge for touch directional indication and arrows for visual directional indication. The ratchet drive surfaces have the usual GW specs with the "Surface Drive" and a 5 deg swing per click. I've found over the years that this really helps in tight areas and if the nuts or bolts are somewhat worn. The "Surface Drive" just seems to bite better. Another nice feature is the snug swivel heads. They hold your angle better than cheap imports. Seven of the most commonly used SAE sizes.
