So far so good. The monitors sound great compared to their size, truly provide a transparent sound, although the bass roll off at 67hz takes a little to get used to. Only been using them for 2 weeks so still learning their characteristics. Studiospares delivery was better this time.

Genelec 8010s has the best sound in such a compact package. I find the Senal PMC-II controller to be very useful to be an intermediary connection between my Rodecaster Pro and my pair of Genelec 8010s. The mute button and the attenuation know are very useful. Regarding the speaker stands, they are much too large for the Genelec 8010 but I consider this a give away being thrown in the package that I can use in the future.

I could not believe the amount of SPL this unit was capable of producing. If you dont know about it and you hear it first time at full range you are going to instinctively look around for other larger monitors that might emmit such high volumes.Sound clear as crystal and built quality at its best, delivered by a wonderful company.I could write much more about how much i love them, but i will end this with the only small issue, something noted by others too, i believe : the audio cable sits at its limit when the monitor is placed on desk because of the extremely small size of the monitor, it kind of leans itself to the desk but not too much to worry about it.Im in love with my 8010s.

The Genelec 8010 pair of studio monitors fits perfectly on my desk. The Senal attenuator alone cost $100 and it is worthwhile addition. It has a useful mute button that I use all the time. The speaker stands are way oversized but I view it as a throw in for future use since the pair of Genelec 8010 studio monitors and the Senal attenuator alone exceeds the cost of the bundle.
These small monitors are tiny but produce very high levels with low distortion and great clarity. Very easy to carry in the bag specific to the model. These are really incredible for the size! I have Focal Twins in the main studio and these in an auxiliary room. The white model is also beautiful and takes very little space on a small desktop.
I have these monitors and i am absolutely amazed at how much power and volume they have for such a small size, they have a sound that is larger than life. Obviously the low end isn't as weighty as a conventional monitors, but that is to be expected because of the size. What they lack in weight they make up for in loudness and punch. Overall they feel midrangey, but there is nothing wrong with that imo. I would highly recommend these monitors for small rooms or where the room isn't so great and also if you are on the move. Top quality!
First off, the Genelec 8010s are fantastic. These little things pack a lot of great sound into them. However, I would say just get them by themselves as the passive controller did not work for running off of my pc. The only way to hook the controller to the PC was via an 1/8 cable, which is going to give you a very prominent hum, rendering the setup useless. Also, I really didn't have a need for the stands since the speakers are the perfect size to just sit on the desktop. I wound up just purchasing a cheap Fosi DAC off of Amazon and it fixed the problem right away. Now the passive controller is just sitting in it's box, who knows, maybe some day I'll find a use for it.
Perfect size for my desk, sound is excellent and easily loud enough. I am using them with my fractal FM3 and couldn’t be happier - I suspect they would work just as well with other modellers - great for quieter practice with great sound quality. The build quality is also great and the ability to angle them up slightly is great too.
I fell in love with the sound of Genelec years ago. Theyw ere always too expensive but the 8010 is achievable, so i got 1 monitor (will get the other in a couple of months). I was so excited to be getting this jewel. However, i played my Yahama stage piano through the monitor and it sounds tinny. The whole point of getting the 8010 was to keep my bedroom studio minimalist and small, so i didn't want to buy a sub woofer. I don't like big bass sounds, but i do like a good round sound and i feel that there is absolutely no bottom end on the monitor. I might be early days to judge as i am waiting to hear from the Genelec team on tips to change settings to improve its sound based on my room's acoustics. The size and wattage are great and they are sturdy, which is ... MoreI fell in love with the sound of Genelec years ago. These monitors should not sound this good for the size I have a tiny room and have had bigger monitors. These out perform all my other monitors hands down. The initials sound is flat and what you hear is what your actually hearing compared to my Avatone headphones for reference too these are pretty flat. I would advise anyone with a small room to get these. Best investment you will make, sometimes the most expensive monitor isn’t the most suited it all depends on the size of the room also .Build quality is supreme and built in isolation so no need for pads either. You could add the sub but honestly these have serious bass for the size. Obviously not deep sub bass but trust me on this they will shock you.
