It is a great wired keyboard. They are hard to come by these days but I prefer a wired one and so was really happy when I found this one. Easy to install - plug and play! It's obviously in used condition but works fine and with no marks or scratches except.... it was a little bent when it arrived but a gentle push and it was fine. All in all - good product

I like using Apple's stuff because it is well built. But after getting burned on the Power Mac 64-bit POWER PC and the Mac Pro Trashcan, I'm Maced out. But I did get the keyboards from those production and I like them. It is compact and travels well. The keyboard has good action, and the noise level is low. Finally Apple adopted the standard keyboard instead of coming up with something they invented like an Alphabetic keyboard.

Like this keyboard more than any other I've ever used. Primarily because of the small travel distance of the keys. Makes my two-fingered typing almost speedy and reduces number of mis-hit keys for me. Black lettering on white background is more user-friendly in various lighting conditions. It's quiet in use too. Downside is that these appear to break down relatively early in their life, if the number of defective ones on ebay and my personal experience are anything to go by. I'm on my third in 15 years and that's with what i would class as below average usage hours per day.
Sometimes, old is gold. This is a perfect keyboard for typing. Flat, yet at a right angle. Chiclet keys, but just the right travel. Firm and flexible white typing. And most importantly, wired not wireless - so does not cause environment damage for those (like me) who use a keyboard 10-12 hours a day. I used magic keyboard and found it too flat and too stiff. Also gap between main keyboard, arrow keys and numeric pad is just right. Great apple product, which is now discontinued. And it gives you two USB sockets to plug in memory sticks conveniently when you are using a desktop. What else do you need.
Pros: Beautiful keyboard well built and works perfectly. Has full apple functionality and can be used with windows. Plug and play! Cons: Do not count on easy USB port access though, only small size usb devices will fit in the ports because of their placement. Also do not get keyboard wet at all!! It will fail, these are great keyboards but very sensitive to moisture! If it was more durable it would have five stars! If you buy used, check every key to ensure it works, several keys can fail due to moisture exposure even if most of the keys work!
I have tried 2 wireless 3rd party replacement keyboards and now I'm happy to have bought this wired refurbished model. Why? Because: It is great quality - condition is 'as new' as far as I can tell - and that is top Apple quality not cheap Chinese plastic. Doesn't require a battery. Is full size - you forget how convenient it is having the numeric keyboard and most importantly for me... I was having problems with my Mac and needed to boot it into safe mode using keyboard controls - something I couldn't do with my wireless bluetooth keyboards. OK - It does take up a USB port - but hardwired if an option - surely has to be better for fault finding.
Many thanks for the Apple Mac usb cable type keyboard and mouse. I bought this Mac off eBay and it came with a wireless keyboard and mouse, which were battery hungry and extremely frustrating. The keyboard and mouse you sent were easily fitted and appear to have eliminated all the frustrations of the supplied items. I repeat, many, many thanks for curing a significant source of problems!

The wired keyboards are much easier to set up and keep using, because they do not repeatedly try to link to all of the office computers,instead of just the one in front of it. Being a manufacturing company, extended keyboards make our jobs much easier. The cheesy little bluetooth keyboards that came with our iMacs are just not as functional, and way too eager to connect to the wrong computer. The slim profile is great too, they fit in the keyboard trays UNDER our desktops without having to lower the tray to where it's sitting on the tops of our legs, nor do they take up so much vertical space that they scrape the underside of the desk when we close our keyboard trays.
