The service was quick and easy. Got it done in under a week or so, and it looks so nice. This mod is relatively easy to do, but I don’t have access to soldering equipment, and even if I did, the end result if I did it myself wouldn’t look NEARLY as clean as how it was done here. 10000% worth the price.

Matt was great and shipped my headphones back 2 day air! Modded Audio Technica ATH 500X, 990Z with 3.5mm ports and DT880 with Balanced 4 Pin Mini XLR. Matt wired the DT880 to the same spec as my DT177x Go so I could the same cable (all discussed before purchase). Excellent craftsmanship and all 3 headphones sound great. Thank You Matt!!!

After my Corgi destroyed the undetachable aux cable and also the cable crossing from left to right speaker, I thought I was out a nice pair of headphones. \n\nFortunately, Matt provides this excellent service! \n\nNot only are my headphones functioning again, but—with the dual mod—I feel like my DT990’s soundstage is better than before. Matt did such a professional job with modding my DT 770s! I originally came across Matt's work via Reddit/YouTube, and I was glad to see that he was here on Etsy, because I just don't have the tools, skills, and confidence required to perform the mod. Even if I did, I doubt I would've been able to do as clean and professional of a job as Matt did; the result is so nice, it looks like it was done in the Beyerdynamic factory (see the attached photo). I sent in my DT880 600ohms for the dual sided balance mod and am so happy with the results of Demevalos' modifications! The mod looks very clean and natural where the cables insert. Where the old cable that connected the cups was, there's hot glue covering the holes and no sign of leakage whatsoever, it's very flush.\n\nI sent them in knowing that just being able to use a custom cable instead of the lengthy stock cable was going to be worth the purchase, but was unsure if there would actually be that big of a sound difference.\nWell I was pleasantly surprised, being able to run them balanced, did them wonders. My DT770s stock cable went bad and they were rendered useless, I thought they were gone for good and I had to buy a new pair, until I inquired on Reddit and someone recommended me Matts service on here, I had no idea this could be done so easily and I would have done it even if my cable wasn’t compromised. \nI placed the order right away and received them back within around two weeks. My beloved cans are now back to life and better than ever thanks to Matt. \nHaving the ability to use and detach any cable I want, while also not having the anxiety of an eventual cable malfunction is honestly alone worth this purchase. \nThe jack looks like it belongs there, very pleasing to look at IMO, kinda modernizes their classic design.
