Good tool, cheap carrying case.

I would have given 5 stars is not for the case. The tool itself performs as advertised and appears well made. As is too often with things like this, the case is a cheap after thought. The loops that hold it to the belt broke after 2 days. The only reason I bought this one over others is a liked the dual design belt loops to wear the tool horizontally. Poor stitching and it broke easily. If you can’t attach to your belt, a carabiner connection would have been nice.

Good tool, poor pouch

Just bought this to attach to my tactical carrier. The first thing I noticed was that it did not come with any snaps for attachment. Had to buy those separately. Once I finally got the thing attached to my gear, the pouch failed the first day of use. The webbing was not sown on, only melted. Reattached the webbing by sowing it back together and haven’t had any problems since. For the price I expected more. Disappointed. Next time I would buy the multi tool and then go somewhere else and get a pouch that is quality.

Great multi-tool at a great Club price!

Great little multi-tool and built tough. Got it at a great price too as a Club Member! The cutting blades and scissors are nice and sharp and love the locking system which keeps the selected tool in place without closing on your fingers. Overall I'm impressed with the Gerber brand as I have always used a Leatherman but finding that they're becoming a bit pricey compared to other brands.

My First Gerber Truss Multi-tool, excited

I love the multi function this tool has. Comes with a lot of tools I normally use in a daily biases. Now instead of havening to go and walk to the truck to grab a tool into my tool box and I can just reach over and easily grab my Gerber and fix the issue weather its unscrewing a screw, cutting open a box, stripping a wire, cutting a sheet of paper or opening a can. This tool has it all, the pliers are awesome also. I am looking forward in seeing the durability. So far I would recommend this product.

Not good

I’ve used Leatherman’s forever, I don’t buy these because I like them. I need a multi tool for work and this one is driving me crazy. The tools are hard to get out, with barely any hook or tab to grab the tools with your fingers or nails. The knives are pitted, and are already dull after 3 days of use. The thing is huge and the edges are very uncomfortable if holding the pliers for an extended period of time. There’s 2 tabs you have to pull down in order to unlock a tool or blade, and if you get anything in them they stick. Also they stick out from the body and catch on your pockets. Your multi tool should be able to come out of your pocket and deploy a tool or blade with one hand, this one cannot. Solid and good value for money

Bought for cadets, so far this seems a solid multi-tool and good value for money. It's of a good size, has good inclusions and handy safety lock on the blades. Happy with this purchase

These are your options...

I purchased this for Father's Day, but I already had to purchase a 2nd one. My husband loves Gerber for these tools because he can open them one handed, because of the slide mechanism, unfortunately this doesn't have the 1 feature that he expects from Gerber, and the photos in the description failed to show the angle where this would have been obvious. So it came. I saw it was a flip to open, not a slide to open, also not mentioned in the specs. And immediately had to order another one with the Gerber feature he expects. So he will be gifted both, one I'm sure will barley be used because it's not conducive to what my husband needs, and one that will be great, but fails to have as many tools as the flip open.....these are your options.

Truss Multi Tool - Nylon Sheath

For me having wanted a multi tool for long time and tried cheap ones ( don't last and risk to fingers ) the gerber truss fits my needs . Saved the day many times already its always with me either in back pack or clipped to my belt . It is in my opinion good value and good quality .

sportsmans guide is not to blame

at no fault of sg I found the gerber multi tool to be cheap crap vs my leatherman tools. i bought 2 of these to keep in seperate locations and i found them to be very cheap i wish i had bought leatherman. of course a similar leatherman is twice the price but i found the wire cutters on the gerbers to be too blunt to work and the blades to be dull and several of the tools to be so cheaply shaped that theyre basically unusable. the spring loaded plier function does seem to be nice on these but as for the multi function tools they are crap.
