Yes, you can plug your recirc tube and essentially have the same effect.However, the factory hard plastic one will eventually give, providing a boost leak and potential hours of troubleshooting and/or replacing expensive and labor intensive parts.Cast aluminum is durable and light, instructions are clear on removal and installation, design is ?? service friendly which counts a lot for me as I do most work myself. Things like designing the mount to fit a certain way which the BOV is pointed correctly are amazing touches.Bought a gfb for my mk6 GTI in the past and had an excellent experience that time as well. 10/10 will buy from them again. Sounds awesome, does the job it's supposed to.

Shipped quickly and you could tell immediately by the packaging they have a quality product and that was confirmed when taken out and starting to assemble. Was very easy to install, came with instructions, plus easy to find other videos online how to remove the intercooler. Sounds amazing and did feel more throttle response. Save a little dough and get this, it utilizes your factory solenoid.

Was easy to install goes well with injen intercooler pipes and intake very nice sound when at full boost. Highly recommend
This little thing packs some awesome blow off sounds. Easy install. Great quality. Simple and effective. My truck turns heads when you hear the pphhhashhhttttt. Sickness. I highly recommend it
Very simple install. Replaced my worn out stock BOV with this one and I wish I would have done it sooner! Love the sound and the performance!
It took less than 15 minutes to install. When disassembling, read the instructions carefully in order to not brake fragile plastic parts. Whenever I let off of the accelerator, this GFB blow-off valve expels pressurized air and makes everyone around you know you have a turbo on your rig.
Amazing product and quality parts . Easy to assemble with everything included . Replaced the original waistgate and gasket for a 2099 engine code , was happy with the upgrade , to clear my codes and be building boost again with more aggressive sounds
I upgraded my intercooler to a Mishimoto unit and installed the Go Fast Bits blow off valve at the same time. The valve works well and definitely lets you know when the engine comes off boost by the moderately loud (audible inside the cab, but not annoyingly loud) pssst sound. You can disconnect your stock diverter pipe to get an idea of the noise, though this valve will be a little louder because it has no muffler. Note that if you use this B.O. valve with an aftermarket intercooler you may need to make your own bracket to secure the valve. The nice bracket that comes with it will not work with the Mishimoto intercooler. It's not a big deal, just need to make small L bracket to secure it.
Had it on my truck for a couple months and it didn’t disappoint! A lot more vocal in sport but overall a big difference from stock, a little scary with the changing of the spring and what not but it’s not as bad as you think, overall a good product and cheaper than the one offered by Turbo smart
