I can do different styles, waves and curls with this one tool. Although it took two to three passes in my hair for the straightening that I need, the benefits outweigh the drawbacks with this styler.

I am so disappointed with my new GHDs I could cry! I hate them. I’ve always used the more basic models, always loved them, my last set lasted almost 7years but gave up on me recently so I needed a new set. Because I’ve experienced a lot of breakage lately (never had it like this before) I decided to level up and get the platinum+ GHDs as they are meant to cause less damage. These were far more expensive than I’d usually be willing to pay for, but I thought it would be worth it. I was so wrong - they are the worst straighteners ever! And, this one is a small thing to moan about I guess; but the awful tune they make when you turn them on and off sounds cheap and nasty. Considering how expensive they were I expected a LOT better than this. I actually wondered if I’d been taken for a fool and managed to buy fakes, until I remembered I’d bought them from the official GHD website. I wish I’d never bought them and got the basic ones instead. It’s really put me off GHDs.
