I bought the bike for city riding and bike paths and for trails that my road bike can't handle. I put an old pair of SPD pedals on it after my first ride because I have to be connected to my bike. The bike rolls very well over rough asphalt at speed and is more agile than my road bike. I got an irreparable flat after three weeks of riding it and found that the MAXXIS Velocita tire was a good fit for the hookless rims. I like the near 105 group-set but shifting would be smoother with a better crankset. I also think that most fitness riders would prefer a 1x11 group-set. Perhaps a 1x12 gravel group-set would work best. The geometry of the bike keeps you upright and comfortable but it also makes it hard to get low when you really want push it. The bike shop fit me with the stem up on a M/L but I had to reverse it and then lower it after several weeks of riding. Overall, I found it to be an excellent bike for urban riding and I will have fun making it even better over the next several years.

Bike was well prepared and ready to go. The staff where ok, but overall only an average customer service. Could have done a lot more. Really disappointed that no Allen key was supplied - especially on such a bike. Giant could do more !!.Another bike shop, (Specialized) gave me one. Small things make a differenceSome minor marks on bike frame as well

For a fitness bike, Giant seems to be the only manufacturer offering a front derailleur now. I changed the tires from 700X40 to 700X32, changed to a softer saddle, raised the handlebars and installed softer grips. Great for greenways now. Not as fast as a road bilke but quick. Wheels squeaked initially. Greased the axles and it resolved.

Still getting to know the bike well. At first, I felt like it was slow or slower than my Giant Defy Advanced. However, my tracking apps shows other wise. It seems to be so comfortable that I'm missing feedback that makes it feel like you're going fast. Anyways, it's what I was looking for; a flat bar road bike that can be used on roads and light trails/gravel. If you're on the fence, test ride one if you can. They're pretty great.
The order & receipt & shipping paperwork all said medium frame, but a ML came out of the box. Of course, I did not notice that until I had it all put together.
Just got the bike so I will come back in a few weeks and tell you my pros and cons. The bike is attractive in person. Much lighter that my Cypress 2. Gear shifting is smooth with the Shimano 105's. I like the responsiveness from the bike and how comfortable it is. I decided on this bike after carefully reviewing the Specialized Sirrus 6.0 which the new 2023 frame is a little strange but good ride but at $900 more. Then Cannondale had the Synapse Carbon Flatbar but only in the UK??? Great specs but unavailable to us in the USA. So this was for sure the best bang for my money! I suffer from back pain and a higher spec'd dropbar bicycles is out of the question. Test drive the bike if you are looking for a light, fast flatbar bike!
I'm changing my last review from four stars to five stars. I swapped out the 40c tires to Victoria Corsa N.EXT 32s and the bike really came alive.
