Amazing bike for the money, I have owned it for about a month and a bit now and have done about 350 miles on the bike and can't get enough. The bike is lightweight considering it has the hydraulic disc brakes around 8kg off the top of my head in size ML. It is my first disc brake road bike and it fills you with so much confidence on the descents. The biggest thing that I notice when riding it is how responsive the bike is when you get out the saddle it just wants go and that is enough to put a smile on your face. The biggest selling point for me on the bike is the colour, the black with the glitter over the top looks amazing when the light catches it in different angles it goes from green to a blue and then to a purple. I don't know why giant don't show this off on ... MoreAmazing bike for the money, I have owned it for about a month and a bit now and have done about 350 miles on the bike and can't get enough. Terrific bike. Value. Nice upgrade with the Ultegra Di2 e-shifters. Lots of compliments on the color. Best of all, I am riding faster and still in a comfortable position, not too extreme.

As a spirited, recreational rider this bike is great. Nice stiff frame and wheels for sprints, climbing and twisting descents. Wheels have very little rolling resistance and handle cross winds very well. Nice to by a bike and not have to start upgrading components first thing, except the tires.I only gave it 4 stars for the following reasons;1) Never liked the tubeless tires that came on the bike. Their profile and rolling resistance was not acceptable for this bike. I'm 6'1", 175lbs and at 80 to 85 psi the rolling resistance increase was very noticeable, above 85 psi the tires were stiff and the bike never felt secure at high speeds in turns. I replaced them after 500 miles with 25cc Schwalbe Pro 1 tubeless and run 80 psi front 82 psi rear. Great ride now, ... MoreAs a spirited, recreational rider this bike is great. Now a 5 star ride.2) Shimano hydraulic baking system requires more maintenance than I realized. With only 2200 miles I have had to replace brake pads already. I do a lot of long group rides and hill climbing (what goes up must come down) but this seems excessive.3) Lastly I was surprised I had to accept 1 to 1.5 pound increase to have a hydraulic disc brake system. It's not the wheels. Giants SLR1 wheels are relatively light.Overall I highly recommend this bike.

beautiful color and looks - 12 speed di2 very smooth and app features are nice, battery life not as good as old di2 - tires need upgrading as does saddle (personal) and BB was overly greased so i replaced it with internally threaded - once i made those tweaks very impressed. Handling and responsiveness are awesome. Wheels are solid and fast with noisy freehub, tubeless hookless works well (even if have to select compatible tires) but good overall.
This bike is incredible. It's light, responsive, comfortable and fun to ride - especially fast! The wider tyres make a huge difference to the ride comfort (I'm currently running GP5000S TR in 30mm), and the new 12 speed Ultegra is a noticeable upgrade on the previous Ultegra Di2. It's just lots of incremental upgrades on the previous model of TCR that add up to another brilliant, bang up-to-date bike. Very impressive.I bought a 120mm (OEM) stem but had to get it from Germany as the UK was out of stock. Also had to wait a few months for a Stages crank(R8100) to come into the UK. The bike doesn't come with one fitted any more which is a shame.
I purchased this same model in 2017 and I have many miles of aggressive riding on it. It is very light and responsive. Before I purchased the TCR I was riding in my local B group ride on an old carbon Trek (5200 with 9sp Ultegra). I would routinely get dropped around mile 30 during the course of a 50 mile ride at a 20-22 mph pace. One ride after being dropped, I showed up on my new TCR and I was able to complete the whole ride without getting dropped! no kidding! I think the biggest difference was how much energy I saved on the climbs. The frame is so stiff and light that it can rocket up hills with much less effort. I have also taken it on many longer rides and have found it to be very comfortable. The frame fits me well and is compliant on the rougher roads, ... The frame fits me well and is compliant on the rougher roads, noticeably more than my aluminum bike with bigger tires. I have recently begun racing and having a blast doing so on this bike. I would highly recommend it.
Beautiful bike, very fast and responsive. The spec is awesome also. Although, I could do without the Power-meter as I find it unnecessary. This is also my first wireless electronic bike and it shifts perfectly.
Absolutely superb bike. Migrated up from a defy but this is quite something else. It is fast, responsive and surprising to me, very comfortable. I was dubious about the comfort as the defy was lovely. The 11-30 is ok even for me but I am 57 so considering the 11-34 for the really steep hills, it is great that this is an option. First time Di2 too so this is the icing on the cake. Well done Giant a joy and an absolute blast to ride.
I love this bike!! I couldn't be more pleased. It's fast, climbs well, agile, sure footed and comfortable. Basically it's everything I expected and there's nothing disappointing at all.
What A bike man!You push the pedals as hard as you wish-It will give you rock solid answer - always! You can take what ever turn you want-It will react like its on a rail! The wind on your face, the miles on your computer and the GIANT TCR floating on the tarmac like a magic Ginny carpet !What A Bicycles!Thank you Giant!!
