Expensive, but if you have the loot and you're an SG man, it's fantastic. I love the feel of the neck and it plays very fast, the humbucker in the center takes getting used to. This guitar screams! It's very loud but warm and expressive, it was also hard to get over the fact that you're going to put wear, dings, etc on it. I have the faded cherry with gold hardware, it's amazingly beautiful - but you only live once, I'd give it five stars but I take away because of the price (who's running things over at Gibson?) I'll never sell it! Also, I have the SG supreme I picked up in a bargain, that guitar smokes both guitars, has the same neck, but the supreme (workhorse) is top heavy because of the Grovers...

Between the craftsmanship, tone and the feel of this guitar, there are few others that will even come close (small army of guitars in my studio... this is the best) The neck is slim and fast, the tone (chunky and bright) is outstanding and you'll find as I did, you'll play this more than any other guitar you own.
