I have purchased several of these motherboards and used them in desktop builds with i5 & i7 11th gen CPUs. They are excellent. I am running Windows 10 on a few desktop builds and one with Windows 10. I am using a gen 3 & gen 4 Samsung m.2 NVME drives. I use Scythe Mugen 5 for cooling. DDR4 RAM. VGA HDMI DVI

I liked this motherboard for the first 2 weeks I had it, but then it started freezing and going to black screens. I had similar issues with the VGA 5 beeps error that another user described as well. Eventually it stopped working all together and I sent it in for repairs. The Support required me to sending the board and deconstruct my computer. They found issues with the BIOS and 3-5 weeks later I got the board back. It did work on arrival, but after 2 weeks the same problems set in and now the board again has BIOS issues. I will reach out to support and hopefully get my money back. FYI KEEP THE BOX - then you can return with Newegg. I was disappointed that I could not return through Newegg even though I had everything except the original box. Big hassle

Install from new Windows 10/11 in USB drive downloaded from Microsoft website. Use M2 slot NVME SSD or SATA SSD for operating system. Be careful with installing CPU in the socket and cooling fan. Warranty will not cover damaged pins.

I would probably give this board 4 to 5 stars were it not for the incompetent and worthless "support" provided by Gigabyte. I haven't purchased Gigabyte boards since 2010 - now I remember why. There is NO phone support and finding online support sends you to a site outside of Gigabyte. I had a small, non-urgent question as to why there was no beep on POST and was given a runaround about the internal PC speaker, trying the speaker and board in a new case, blah, blah, blah. After my own research and troubleshooting, turns out that there is no beep when fast boot is enabled. I got better "support" via online searches and my own testing than I did from Gigabyte. As an A+ Certified PC technician, it looks like I can help myself far better than Gigabyte will ever help me.
Gigabyte products have always served me well, so it's with great disappointment that I have to report this motherboard is causing me headaches. The on-board sound was crackly from the get go, and installing new drivers/changing various settings didn't help. Today (2/23/2022) the on-board Ethernet port failed. I didn't realize it strait away. It took hours of uninstalling drivers, reinstalling, and testing before I thought I'd see if it was a hardware problem. I bought a USB 3.0-to-Ethernet dongle, and almost as soon as I plugged it in I had Internet again. I tried a similar thing with the sound, plugging in a simple Sound Blaster USB 3 dongle. Although still a little crackly, the was also better. Might be I need a new stereo patch cable. The experience has not ... Sturdy, solid product. 4 ddr4 ram slots, nice port connection setup. Slick design. Operates nice and cool. Has sensors for heat which is nice, upgraded from 4 core to this for my GeForce gtx 1070, which is a dope product for price btw.
Super easy setup, I was running a 1st gen Ryzen my motherboard went out. I got this board with a i5 it booted and updated and it ran my old windows install super easy 👍👍👍
I bought this new and paired with an i7-11700k. Stock motherboard settings can achieve a turbo of 4.5ghz without issue if you have a good cooler and airflow. Vrms have an impressive heat sink and so far so good havent noticed any loss in performance while running it @4.5ghz since our of the box. I run it in an air conditioned room as rule of thumb also. But Im very pleased this board can handle an 11th gen cpu and I dont regret buying it
Has overclocking features. I put 2x RAM modules into A2 and B2, and with my Xigmatek 2 fan CPU air cooler, could not get a memory module into slot A1, but probably could if id didnt have a heat spreader (that might be a common problem with large aircoolers with fans I dont know....). 2x M.2, plenty of SATA, plenty of fan headers, this seems to be a well equipped mobo for a great desktop or a standard gaming rig.
There was a very frustrating motherboard to deal with. First I had the RAM in the wrong slots and it wouldn't boot up (my fault). Corrected RAM and booted to BIOS. BIOS would not recognize Crucial M.2 PCI 3.0 drive in the M.2 4.0 slot due to me using 10th gen Core i3. Moved M.2 drive to M.2 3.0 slot and now recognized. Motherboard would not let me select any drive as first boot drive until I ENABLED CSM in BIOS. After enabling CSM I could then boot from M.2 drive. It still beeps 5 times every time I turn it on. I called Gigabyte and told them to update the BIOS to remove the beeps. Enabled XMP for RAM. My Crucial RAM is good to 3200mhz but will only run at 2666mhz due to i3/i5 limitation FYI.
