If you can hear high pitch noises, then I suggest searching for "Gigabyte B650 whine" in your favourite search engine and decide if this is the board (or any other in this series from Gigabyte) is for you. I returned mine due to this issue which was present when XMP was enabled (required if you want to get the full speed out of your carefully selected RAM).

2 dead mobos in a row. Way to go, Gigabyte.

Bought this via Ebay and installed, no signal. Bought new ram, no luck. Took it into Best Buy and they said the board was dead. Got another one. Same problem. Took that into Best Buy and told them to sort it out. Guess what? Second one was also dead. So if you want to flip a coin, roll the dice, play motherboard roulette, feel free to buy a Gigabyte board. Technician recommended I go with Asus, so that's what I'm getting.

Avoid this board
11 February 2023

I have built about 30 PC's so far, this has to be the buggiest board I have ever built with. Major bios and ram compatibility issues. Reading other reviews show that this problem is too common to just be a defective board. F3 is the only bios that results in a bootable system, and only with Expo disabled. Save yourself the headache and spend an extra $20 on a better board.

Backup becomes First String Player!
21 December 2022

This was purchased as a testing boared but ended up becoming a replacement board. As with any new build, without a test stand, its difficult to determine a factory defect or component hardware related cause to a failure. This board isolated the root cause and in that evaluation made me realize that this was the better choice for my needs. I did, however, discover firsthand the drawbacks to this manufacturer's support for certain processors and their memory requirements/capabilities. In the end, I'm still deciding on purchasing yet another one!

Early BIOS was finicky, board rocks after update!
23 February 2023

I got this board because it seemed to be good enough for a 7700x based gaming PC, and I wasn't planning on overclocking it. (I got lucky and now that there has been some legit reviews, this is the best bang for the buck AM5 in early 2023 if you don't feel the need for any PCIE 5.0)When I got it it wouldn't post. Not a big issue, guessing it was the earlier UEFI/BIOS got stuck memory training. Cleared the CMOS, booted up right away. Updated to newest BIOS. EXPO set correctly, windows installed easily, and with mid tier CL36 DDR5 5600 I'm still getting baller FPS with my 7900XTX.(sidenote, apparently DDR5 takes longer for the board to acknowledge it correctly? "memory training"? watch some tech tubers, they explain it way better than I can)

Excellent value AM5 board
20 March 2023

Bought two of these B650m DS3H Gigabyte boards:Pros:- Quality VRM heatsinks for a budget board- Excellent price, was $135 after combo discount- 4 DIMM slots and worked great with 2x Gskill DDR5-6000 chips at EXPO settings. With shipping bios but also manually updated to latest bios to be safe- 2x M.2 slots with built in heatsink- Stable, Fast, Quick Boot, has PBO optionsCons:- Minimal number of USB ports, bought a separate powered hub but would like to see more- MicroATX form factor- VRM and OC capabilities good for this price range but not as strong as more expensive boards

Least Expensive B650 Board!
24 January 2023

I bought this board when it first came out and getting it to work has been a challenge. The memory that comes with the Ryzen 7600 which is DDR5 5600 would only run at 4800 until I was finally able to update to the F4C bios. This board is very finicky about what flash drives it will read to update the bios. I had to disconnect the Windows boot drive and use a bootable flash drive to get it to work. After updating to latest bios everything seems to be working ok and I don't notice any coil whine when gaming or running cinebench. NOT recommended for a first time pc builder.

Works fine but emits a high frequency sound.
7 February 2023

The mother board is emitting high frequency sound. Its a bit late when you identify this when you have built your new system. Its a bit annoying but the board is working. I've been told it can take a long time to swap these out.
