With the AMD 3800X and DDR4 3200 cl14 memory, I'm averaging 50-65 fps!!! I used my NVIDIA GTX 1070 SC on both platforms.

For Enthusiasts, not alot of spare parts..

On the plus side, this mobo does have build in wifi and the bios truely allows for full fledged customization of the board. This board was build for gaming enthusiasts in mind. I would recommend this mobo since its of high build quality but would like to mention that there feels to be a lacking amount of features that were once there on older gigabyte mobos.

I have been a Gigabyte fan for years. This board has many good features, but has a few annoying things. First the X570 chipset fan is a whiny little annoying fan. Next AMD still has awful Raid support and Gigabyte's weak BIOS really hurt this board. I was AMD years ago and left for I tel because AMD drivers and RAID was weak. Well it seems things have not changed. Sure they make a good CPU, but having good BIOS and drivers need to be part of the package. If Intel were making 7nm CPUs AMD would be dead. Gigabyte also used to put out better product, if you disable CSM and go UEFI the latest F20 BIOS becomes laggy and the mouse does not work on all screens. Come on Gigabyte, get your act together and push AMD to get stable as well.

Honestly, i don't have any pro or con list that hasnt already been mentioned. It is a solid mobo for being the entry level into the x570 chipset. Currently rating at 2 stars because, while it worked for approx 6 mo or so it has now had the same issue all the other users have reported. It black screened with increasing frequency, i made sure BIOS was up to date, and know that all my other parts work as all i replaced was my cpu and mobo with this upgrade, as well as psu. I got a black screen eventually that wouldnt let me power down without hard powering down the psu and now it will not even begin to start back up or even show the indicator lights on the mobo. Seems like just an issue with manufacturing that is relatively common, all things considered. Just reached out about the warranty and plan to contact Newegg support as well. Update to come hopefully.

Here is the deal. I love the design of the board. RGB is simple and pleasing. I got this Board for the support of PCIE 4.0 which I tend to use for my M.2 Sabrent Rocket 4.0 Drives. However, I'm having some issues with the BIOS and RGB Fusion 2.0 software. The BIOS loves to reset its settings. Especially the CPU Fan. It was on Auto and I change it over to PWM and after a couple reboots it goes right back to Auto which my EVGA 240mm CLC needs to CPU Fan on PWM in order for me to see it in the Flow Control Software. That bit is annoying. Now lets talk about when I exit out of BIOS, it gets stuck and doesn't reboot like it's supposed to. Have to power off the machine, and power it back on to post and that's just a hassle. My ram, XMP works great G.Skill NEO 3600 C16 ... MoreHere is the deal. I love the design of the board. My ram, XMP works great G.Skill NEO 3600 C16 with G.Skill lighting software does not play well with the Motherboard and Fusion 2.0. Fusion 2.0 RGB is a joke of a software in itself and still takes priority when the settings has it turned off for the Ram RGB. In order for G.Skill to work I have to go into the Program Files and delete DMP files to get it to work. That posts about half the time. Now the EVGA software. Like mentioned about, RGB Fusion 2.0 doesn't play well with other RGB software. My EVGA 2080 Ti and 240mm CLC are no exception. They constantly reset themselves. Bottom line if you want to get this board for Productivity Needs are the support for PCIE 4.0 for the slots and M.2 get it! It's great with a Ryzen 3rd Generation CPU. Just get it if you don't mind a board that doesn't have FUNCTIONAL RGB software. I'm thinking about taking it back and going with the ASUS X570 E-Gaming as it offers almost the same Productivity but at least it's RGB software is compatible with most other RGB Software.

TLDR: You will need to feel comfortable updating the bios, and potentially the bios flashback as they are actually neccesary rather than optional. Buy a USB thumbstick if you don't have 20 sitting at home.Everything else is pretty much bog standard. I cant really recommend this product for most people. If you overclock, or like having options then its a good choice, but if you just need a conduit for your CPU there are cheaper options.

I'll share three minor glitches I worked through. On my first power-up the fans spun, the board lit, but no POST. This board doesn't have the two-digit POST error code display my last Gigabyte board had. Now what? Look on p. 15 of the manual and find #22 on the diagram and mobo: CPU/DRAM/VGA/BOOT. One of four tiny LEDs on the board will illuminate to tell you which one of those is not firing. I had forgotten the 8-pin ATX_12V (CPU) cable /duh/.Second, right next to that 8-pin ATX_V connector is another 4-pin connector labeled ATX_V1. That one is optional; the mobo will boot if it's not connected. But it may be useful or necessary depending how aggressively you overclock. Note most ATX power supplies can't make that connection; they only have one CPU power-out port and one 8-pin CPU cable. You can't use a differently-wired 8-pin PCI-E cable for this connection. If your PS offers the second CPU cable, it will split at one end to 4+4; you connect one 4-pin to ATX_12V1 and leave the other end loose. Again, it's optional. (None of this is explained in the manual.)The third issue was on me. I saw the board supported 3600MHz DDR4 but forgot to check the brand and model I planned to use against Gigabyte's officially supported RAM list for AORUS available online. Mine wasn't on it, and the PC wasn't stable using it. I found the fix online: In BIOS, Disable XMP, manually set the System Multiplier to 36.00, and manually set the DRAM Voltage (CH A/B) to 1.350V. Then my system was solidly stable and the DRAM benchmarked very well at 3600MHz.I love this board! Lots of USB etc. ports, great sound, fast wi-fi, and very stable. I saw online complaints about BIOS version F33, but it's working well for me.

I recently ended up replacing this motherboard after it failed just after a month of use. If I had to guess, Gigabytes bios that they uploaded and then quickly replaced had something to do with it. Couldn't boot to BIOS, kept getting stuck on the DRAM light and tried multiple sticks of RAM. Otherwise? Just a nightmare.

I was originally going to go with a less expensive mobo for my new build, but went with this one for the 3 M.2 slots and for BIOS flashback. This board has a great feature set and is fairly intuitive to use. The BIOS is a little rough around the edges, but what BIOS isn't. It has some good programs for tweaking the BIOS in a Windows environment, I particularly like the fan control app for setting fan curves. The only issue I've run across so far is that the RAM slots are fairly close to the CPU socket, so you need to take care when installing your CPU cooler not to block the closest socket. For example, I have an EK AIO, and would need to flip the entire thing around if I wanted to add two more RAM sticks.Other than that, it's a very solid motherboard. Haven't had it long enough to say much about reliability, but I'm happy with it so far.
