Very well fitting and has a handy zip pocket in the front, the only downside is under the arm it was a Velcro strap which catch’s under your arm giving you a mark if you paddle long distanceI’d happy recommend this item but tape the sharp strap

The buoyancy aid was shipped quickly and seems nice quality.I bought for my wife who is 5'4" and 56kgs. We bought the small. Sadly it seems to be lacking some adjustablity and will be returned. The great news is that Gill make returns super easy. With only a single low level cinch on the sides it's not possible for her to get a nice tight fit and all other straps were adjusted to their smallest setting. With a bit of bulk to it, she feels like it will be in the way when paddleboarding. I'd say, for someone a little larger this may be a good option but it's not for the petite.

I expected to be able to unclip the zip-side waist strap to allow the side of the jacket to be fully opened up, making the jacket easier to put on, but that's not the case due to an elasticated loop that holds the strap clip captive. Unless I'm missing something, this clip serves no useful purpose. It doesn't even allow the waist strap to be expanded because the elastic loop stops the released side of the clip from going anywhere. I'm unsure why a clip has even been added.Like a previous reviewer, I also found that the velcro tab near the zip scraped painfully against the underside of my upper arm. I ended up cutting it off!

I like the style of this pfd, it fits snugly and high up on me just under my ribs and I love the front pocket which, for a paddleboarder is perfect for tucking in my phone case or for a packet of tissues. What I don't like at all is the velcro covering the top of the side zip. I noticed another reviewer saying it had fluffed up their clothes underneath and I agree, it's wrecked my hydrophobe top which is now fluffy under the left armpit and although just about bearable in the winter while I'm wearing more waterproof outer wear I'm not looking forward to this pfd in the summer with a t-shirt underneath. It's a poor design. The velcro isn't big enough to cover the whole top of the zip and when paddling where my arms are moving all the time the velcro comes apart and ... It's a poor design. The velcro isn't big enough to cover the whole top of the zip and when paddling where my arms are moving all the time the velcro comes apart and the zip starts to undo. I cut the velcro off but I could have taped it as the other reviewer suggested. Gill designers please look at this.
Easy to adjust and not bulky so perfect for kayaking where you don’t want a buoyancy aid that goes down your waist too low. Wish they made a specific woman shaped one. Had to take the one fitting my weight and my chest size so the shoulder straps are a tad too big for me . If I could shorten them by an extra inch, it would be 100% perfect.
This was worth the money. It is very comfortable and looks very sleek. It also perfectly matches my gill black and orange dry suit which is nice.
Having now been out and used this, overall it functions perfectly. The pocket at the front is excellent, easy to get to and having a D ring inside means I can attach all sorts of things I might want to use but not lose at the bottom of the sea.The only drawback for me is the cover over the top of the zip. It's made from a material and is in a position that scratches the life out of my arm and when combined with sea water really isn't funny. I don't want to remove it as I don't want the zip to undo, but it can't stay like it is.
A part from it being huge, the sizing is definitely off, the Pursuit Byoyancy Aid pocket is great. I had measured myself and picked the small based on the sizing but when I received it, the fit was off the charts too big. I had to return my order of 310$, pay for the return shipping and the shipping to my address. The whole return process is not user friendly and I had to email them several times to get the proper information and the link to get the DHL reduction. Needless to say, I was frustrated to learn that on a 310$ order, I was only reimbursed 270$. I was willing to return the order and place a new one with a smaller size but when I saw that simply returning my order cost me 40$, I decided to cancel my new order all together. I’m very disappointed and ... MoreA part from it being huge, the sizing is definitely off, the Pursuit Byoyancy Aid pocket is great. Fit for purpose. Although this is a side entry vest, there is a permanent strap across the bottom of the entry. Fit is slightly on the large side but buoyancy weight for next size down would be too low.
I wish the velcro near the zipper could have been replaced with something else like a snap. I had problem with it coming undone and it would often ruff up the under armpit of my long-sleeved shirts. I have resorted to just rapping it in e-tape and that seemed to be an alright solution. Other than that love the product but this is a big oversite.
