When I first complete my assessment and posted it on my Facebook page all I could say was wow. I have tried to find a good razor as I have a fairly heavy growth.until now I have found ok razors but when I tried this one I asked my wife to rate the finish on my face and she could find no faults.I had no rough spots my jaw line with closely shaved and that is where I would normally not be able to get as close a shave as I liked but with this razor it was excellent. From a handling point of view having the metal handle meant it was really well balanced. The five blades and the lubricating strip meant the razor simply glided around the prominent points of my facial structures. All in all a great razor, well balanced, and gives a smooth outcome.

I've always been a bit skeptical about these types of razors. Let me say this is the best I have used. I have never had a closer shave. It has not "nicked" me at all in two months. The replacement blade cartridges are a little expensive although I have already seen them discounted at a major supermarket. Do yourself a favour....buy this razor !

At first I was a little concerned at about using a 5 blade razor anywhere near my skin. After several weeks of using the Proglide I’m sold. The shave is so smooth even with a couple of days growth to deal with, and I’ve not had any shaving rash since using Proglide. The handle is sort of heavy which somehow makes it easy to operate compared to the plastic types. Changing the blades is also super easy. Go get one

When it comes to shaving blades it is definitely a case of quality over price. DON'T buy the imitation blades. You will be disappointed. Always buy genuine Gillette branded blades. Quality between the two is like chalk vs cheese
Gillette Fusion are the best razors for shaving in my eyes. Ive been shaving a very long time and have tried a lot of different razors but Ive always had to revert back to Gillette. I know there a bit more expensive but seriously, if you havent heard of the saying yet, you pay for what you get. So thank you Gillette for the quality product that you provide, as long as I have a Gillette Fusion I know Ill have a quality shave .
I have been using the Proglide now for 2 months.I am a shift worker so shave 5days a week and some times there is a 3 day gap between shaves .I shave every day whilst on shift so at least once a week i am shaving a three day growth. I found the Proglide easy in the hand with good grip as i use it in the shower. After a few days not shaving the proglide showed no drag or pull on my face. The blades cut through the growth easily and left a smooth clean shaven feel.I previously used disposable razors so had bad shaving rash on my neck and on top of my lip. After only 3 uses of the Proglide these rashes had gone and now after using it for 2 months there is no sign of the rash.I changed to the 2nd set of blades supplied after a month of use so after 20 times shaving. The best razor i have used yet. Glides along my face line and cuts my facial hair clean and smoth. For a change i did not cut myself once while using this razor. The razor washed up with clean water with no blockages between the blades. I would give this razor 9.5 out of ten. The .5 is i trhink it is a little bit pricey.
The weight of the razor was perfectly balanced and provided enough weight for accurate control without being heavy. The head pivoted and provided a smooth gliding action over the skin for a comfortable close shave. I usually get skin irritation on the neck from shaving which did not occur with this razor. Good grip on the handle with enough resistance to stop it being slippery when shaving.
Looks smooth stylish and slick. Probably enviromently friendly. My problem is that it is so smooth that it just does not work as it should. I use a Gillette disposable which while not as classy looking works exceptionally well by comparison. Also I liked the way the blade flicks off but that probably works a bit to well. Popped off without any effort from me whatsoever right in the middle of a shave. I compared the cost price with others at the supermarket and it seemed to be good value if only it would work properly. It felt very smooth to use but it just does not give a good shave. Sorry but it failed.
I found the blades easier to get a close shave with less irritation to my skin. I've got course hair with sensitive skin and frequently find shaving under my chin/neck ends up with irritated skin for the next 24 hours. These blades haven't irritated my skin with regular use which is fantastic. I don't know if its me, but i've never found a use for the extra blade on the top of the shaver for 'precision use'. Maybe because i have a moustache. My wife tried it on her legs (She is frequently stealing my shaver) and found it much better than my previous which makes her happy too!
