Now I have used like many others a few different brands over the years. But this razor is miles ahead. Gives the ultimate close shave, no signs of nicks and cuts which I I used to get often with other dual/triple razors.Have used with instant foam, old style brush and soap. Works like a charm. Definitely for you if you like close shave and suffer from irritation.
The blades are not made to shave a head. They have little or no durability. They are known to be one of the best but they are not. Quality control would be advisable if I may say so.
Liked the older product better, they have changed the content, do not like the fragrance. A bit irritating to the skin. Older product is hard to find, they may have discontinued it.
I recently purchased a "knock off" blade refill that claimed to be the same as the Mach III. It wasn't. That's why I made this purchase. Nothing like the real thing!
To tell you the truth I actually haven't used it yet, but I've ordered these before when I was tricked into believing that they were made by Gillette but they were not. These are The real McCoy.
I bought these because I already have a handle, the price was better than the grocery store, and I keep it in my spare bathroom. As for the best shave, the cartridges with three blades are the best, by far. I've used single blades, twins, three blade, four blade and five blade cartridges, and for some reason three is the best of them all. The only thing the the four and five blade cartridges have that I miss on the three blade is the single edging blade on the back of the cartridge. I wish they made the three blade with the extra edging blade on the back, but alas, they don't. In any event, for the best shave, go with the three.
this review is for all you dullified idiocrats. How can anyone review blades if manufacturers/sellers don't provide info about type of steel alloy used? there is a steel alloy that has a wear resistant property used in farm plows that could be used in blades/razors. Impossible! The same across the board i.e. audio speakers don't specify watts/ohms in specs, etc.
