I have been using the Gillette Venus sensitive disposable razors since last 4 years. They do a fine job shaving my hands and legs. They come with a 3 curve-hugging blades which makes it easy to shave around elbows and knees. They have a SkinElixir Lubrastrip for smooth gliding over the skin. They can be used on sensitive skin. Be gentle when you start shaving with a new razor. Also exfoliate your skin for better results.

I have used these blades from them coming onto the market around 25 years ago. I have tried other brands over the years, but they don't come up to the standard of these. I get an excellent clean shave and I very rarely cut myself, or get skin burn as with other brands. I don't know what I shall use when these run out because, I have been told that they have stopped making them now and not available in shops anymore, so will have to keep buying on line while they are available. I am 80 years of age and will have to grow a beard when they are not available, because I won't be buying any of the other brands.

I purchased this item because previous reviewers warned not to buy it unless they were "made in Brazil". I bought this item and it's stamped "Made in Brazil", but the blades are dull and don't provide a smooth shave. I've used five blades so far and all are dull and abrasive. I used to get wonderfully smooth shaves from the old Sensor blades, but I've tried blades from several sources and they all provide a substandard shave. I'm going to try "Harry's" blades next.

They are far better than any other blades on the market. The arm of my razor is slightly heavier than you can buy currently (unless you get a cut throat) which helps with the very smooth shave that you get with these blades. Genuinely better than any other that I have tried from Gillette or competitors. However they are becoming harder to find. Are they being phased out?
I have an old Gillette Sensor razor that has two blades. I have found these blades are just as good or better than the four or five-blade razors that cost a mint. Having to find these blades is not random but a few companies do sell them and the cost is less than half of the more expensive blades. I enjoy using this brand of razors and blades. It does the shave I wish at less the price.
It's not the Gilette Sensor handle from my youth. It's a cheaper version that Gilette released reluctantly when they realized some people wouldn't give up their Sensor blades. It's too short, so the water drips down your arm instead of off the handle into the sink. And it's frightfully lightweight. The off-brand handle I've used for the past few years was heavier, but eventually lost its ability to grip a blade. No telling how long this one will last.
I have been using Gillette Sensor Excel blades for around 30 years now and still cant find a blade to match it for a comfortable, smooth, non grippy of the stubble shave. The Sensor Excel blades just glide over my face with no tugging of the stubble at all. I have tried all the other triple blades available but just end up going back to the double Sensor Excel blades due to the triple ones gripping and tugging my stubble. Please Gillette, make us guys the old metal handle again for theses fantastic old blades. Still have mine, it has to be 20 years old though.
At some point the number of blades per cartridge becomes an exercise in futility. The cartridge gets bigger, blockier and difficult to maneuver. R&D costs make blades horribly expensive these days. Typically I use an old school double edge safety razor and pay 9 cents a piece. Use em a week and get a new one. I used the Sensor for years (and the Atra before) but of course production ceased. I keep Sensors around for those mornings when I'm running late and need a fast shave. They're a great blade...but I refuse to pay more than a buck a blade...
I am very disappointed to find that the sensor excel brand is no longer available without paying extortionate prices for the blades! I have been using sensor excel for more years than I care to remember and find that there is no other blade that comes close to it's performance, and yes, I have tried other gillette products as well as other makes such as wilkinson sword and my mum's happy shopper types. If it is true that gillette have retired the sensor excel then it is a big thumbs down to the gillette bigwigs! I have been told that lidl do their own brand that performs very well so I shall give it a whirl and let you know. By the way, the 5 star rating is for the sensor excel product and not for gillette as such.
The black colored old style Gillette Sensor blades were great and worked wonderfully, But, these light gray colored one that are newer are made more cheaply and they pull too hard on one's whiskers when shaving. Not smooth like the black one's. I blame is on Gillette for making these more cheaply in the manufacturing of these blades now and I think they should go back to the black ones, they worked and were made a lot better.
