A clean shave, smooth skin, no burn or razor rash - the naked jaw line and nude upper lip, devoid of red razor rash made for a striking reflection from the mirror. One stroke and the job was done - hairless - just what you want when shaving. I was skeptical about the vibration feature of the razor but it actually provided a pleasant feel. I was somewhat concerned about the size of the moisturising strips and getting a good shave of the upper lip, but it actually didn't prove to be an issue. Overall, face felt great having just dragged a razor over it - i couldn't stop stroking my jawline......

I think the Gillette Skinguard sensitive is a good razor, giving an effective & close shave. However, I don't think it fulfils all the purposes it sets out to achieve. The lubrication all around the blades seems to be effective, but I'm not sure the skinguard really works, as I still had a couple of small cuts as I shaved. I shave my face & head regularly with a Gillette blade. I didn't really think that this razor was any more effective than the standard Gillette I already use. I think the power handle is a bit of a gimmick. For me the shave was not as close or effective when I switched on the power handle & shaved with it.

The Gillette Skinguard Razor certainly exceeded expectations having used Gillette razors for all of my shaving life. I have sensitive skin and get razor rash if I shave daily, and thus have had 20+ years of shaving every 2-3 days max. I’m not sure if it was the reduced number of blades or spacing, however I tried the razor the day after my usual shave day, and felt no paid and had no issues. With immediate effect, I was able to shave daily, continuously. A total game changer! I did go back to my 4 blade razor and even with a new blade I felt pain and had issues. It may be scenario specific, but this razor has literally changed my shaving life! If my scenario sounds familiar, I’d hugely encourage you to try it!

This product would definitely be the best razor l have ever used for the last 40 years. It is so smooth and feels like it has not cut any facial hair but is further from the truth. It leaves no rash effects whatsoever and is easy to replace the blades when they eventually wear out. Definitely worth the money.
This product is a must have for anyone with sensitive skin. The skinguard razors help protect against any rashes and shaving cuts to ensure a nice smooth shave. You are able to get a good lifespan for each razor. Highly recommend.
Due to slow growth of my beard, i always used the Gillette single use products as its the most cost efficient. However, there has been many annoyance due after use. As a result of using the Skinguard, I had no discomfort issues and the blade lasts as long as when I buy a whole pack of the single use products. Would definitely recommend as the handle is at the right weight and shape to feel comfortable while being efficient in cost and use to shave. In addition, the wife loves how it looks and actually allows the product to be in visible sight of the bathroom.
When I first started to use the Gillette Skinguard Razor, I didn't actually think it was doing anything. There was no resistance whatsoever, but with a single stroke the skin was smooth and clean. After finishing the shave there was no irritation and no need to go over any parts of the face to finish the job. I've continued to use the razor and the blades last for a long time. I will certainly be buying a new supply when I need them. I would recommend this product to anyone, in particular people with sensitive skin.
I used this product for 10 shaves and found that it left my skin feeling smooth. A big plus was I had no shaving rash or tightness in my face or neck from shaving. On the downside, it does only have two blades and as I shave my head as well as my face, it required a bit more time and work to ensure I had a complete finish. Probably suited to someone who has softer hair than mine or less area to shave.
The Gillett Skinguard Razor gives a smooth, close shave. It cuts through both thick and uneven hair growth in one motion. It cuts hair at skin level with the blade not pulling the hair, which prevents irritation and protects the skin. It is suitable and advantageous for people with sensitive skin.
As far as being a razor and providing a smooth shave then this definitely fits the bill and on a clean face then I would think it would work quite well. It is also very easy to clean and flush out any hairs or residue. However, for me with thin beard line I found it quite difficult to use as I could not easily see where the cutting edge was due to the design of the razor head. The razor head is kind on laid back or trailing behind unlike normal razors. So, for me I used this on the open areas which it worked quite well and then used a smaller normal type razor around areas I needed to be more precise and see exactly where the razor cutting edge is. That is the only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5.
