It’s great for wavy or curly hair. Might be not suitable for oily scalp as it doesn’t cleanse properly. It’s better to mix it with other shampoos

My hair has recently gotten very wavy and frizzy in my early 50's so I decided to try this Giovanni curl habit shampoo. I have used Giovanni shampoo, conditioner, hairspray, leave in conditioners, shine and anti frizz products off and mostly on for years because they smell great and leave my hair clean and full of body and shine and work well even though I use Naturtint brand color. This shampoo and the matching conditioner has helped get rid of the frizz and help my hair be wavy and curly and it's so soft and shiny and my hair doesn't have split ends like it does with other shampoos. I accidentally got the non foaming which is very different, like a lotion and takes more to rinse our but the benefits are wonderful.
This leaves my fine curls flat. It smells nice and is moisturizing, but this is supposed to enhance curls and for me it does the opposite of that. It may work great for someone with coarse/dry hair, but it's not good for fine soft hair. I will not buy this again.
It works in a very gentle way, cleaning your hair without damage or dry it. There is no foam, but that is the indicator it is working properly, without dry your hair. Leave the hair very soft, for my 3C/4A fine hair it works perfectly.
Instantly melts into hair and changes coarse, dry hair into clean, soft, easy to comb, highly conditioned curls. Super cleansing even though it doesn’t foam. My hair is very curly and unhappy in the humidity but this product really has all the benefits it advertised. It is super gentle.
