Good comfortable helmet. Have been using for a week in Hakuba. Don’t even feel it while wearing it.

A good replacement for my old Giro Shiv

I realized my old Giro Shiv helmet was 10 years old and needed a replacement. I used to wear a hat and goggles under my old helmet which was a size L, but keeping in line with my new Giro bike helmet, I sized down to a M from a L based on measurements. The Ledge feels a hair heavier. But, it has more adjustment features and has a more precise fit due to newer technology. I can still fit a hat underneath it, but I keep my goggles on the outside now. I've used a few pairs of goggles with no interference. It keeps your head warm in the cold weather, but you can strip out the ear pads for spring riding which is a nice feature. The ear pads have a pocket for Giro/Skullcandy compatible headphones if you aren't using something wireless. Disappointed by the color of the product

The helmet fits well and is comfortable. The only disappointment is I thought I was ordering a dark purple helmet based on the photo, however upon arrival the helmet is a dark blue. Disappointed by the color

Dont hit your head

We ski a lot as a family ans none of us wear a helmet. My son got a helmet last year for snowboarding and it got me thinking tbere is no good reason i did not wear one sking. In anticipation of hitting the slopes this year i started shopping for a helmet. I like the look of the giro and the way it covered the ears. After looking at the sizing chart i got a medium. It fits me like A glove i cannot wait to try it out.

Dual Purpose

I bought this helmet for snowboarding which worked well. Now I needed a helmet for a Onewheel hoverboard I recently purchased and was pleased to notice that this helmet is completely convertible to a skate/BMX helmet. The insulation for cold environments was removable, I found 2 adjustment (1 on each side) to make a tighter fit, even the clip in the back is removable. I've owned 5 or 6 helmets for snowboard/BMX over the years and this is the best one.

Great helmet

My wife wanted me to wear a helmet and bought me this. It was a nice snug fit and very comfortable. It stayed in place so well I quit buckling the chin strap. Well the wife saw the undone chin strap and gave me an earful. To prove her point she said it was akin to snipping the tip off the condom and told me we were going to experiment if she ever saw the strap unfastened again. no worries i keep it snug

Keeps your assets safe

We do a lot of sledding and snow tubing as a family. Problem is the slope gets icy and fast real quick. I usually make the kids wear their skate helmets. And the husband will wear his hockey helmet i was just wearing a thick tosel cap and my parka hood drawn tight. I began to get worried i was going ro get a concussion after watching my husband wipe out and seeing his helmeted head make hard contact. I found the giro Sestriere Snow Helmet in medium and white and it is awesome.protects the ears and head and keeps me warm. I have wiped out once and it kept me safe

Nice, safe, and affordable

I wouldn't buy this for $80, but this is well built, safe, and warm. I've bought two now. If you can wait, buy it off season. I find that you can get a new one from evo for a great price if you buy it in May or so.

XXL works great for big head.

This XXL fits 60.5-62.5cm, which fits great for big head.Smith XL claims to fit 63-67cm. But this XXL fits much better than Smith XL.
