Super comfy, got it it the purple. True to picture. I measured my head and based on the measurements I ordered the small and it was so tight it was squeezing my ears. Got the medium and a lot more comfy. I ordered the scout too just to compare, and had owned a spy before this. The scout also was really small and same problem had to go up, but I chose this one because the scout orange was like a really dark burnt orange or like terracotta, and not a cute orange.

Protection is zero without a good fit. This helmet is not adjustable by design: the circumference is fixed, if it fits a hat for winter for sure it will be too large at spring. Straps around the ear are fixed too, so regardless how much the chin strap is tightened, the helmet inclination cannot be adjusted, leaning too close to the eyebrows or more likely, too tilted backwards. Shame on Giro for designing a bait product with a Mips label.

Fits, comfortable, lightweight, hardly notice it riding at all!... Despite what, at a glance, may appear a little more basic, clunky design.Got these on sale for like $35-$40 each... phenomenal value at that price, great kit.Note on sizing though- I'm about 30" head diameter according to the size chart I should fit a loosely adjusted medium - it was too snug. Returned mine for a large which fits great on the tightest adjustment (there are three size adjustments available within each size).
The ledge is a great low profile and simple helmetdesign. The ledge is a great helmet for park andstreet skiers insanely comfortable with or withoutgoggles. Also the ledge includes mips witch is amust have now a days to keep riders happy and healthy.
The Giro Ledge is a great helmet at an even better price - a MIPS helmet from an established manufacturer for under $65 is extraordinary. Fits great, well constructed. Tension wheel is good, verical adjustment available also. I've been a Giro user for many years, this is a big improvement over basic no name brands for very little more money. TBI from active sports is very real, no reason not to get a good helmet when the Ledge MIPS is priced like this.
Lightweight, affordable, safe, and MIPs.Bought a large and it fits like a glove. Strategic and intentional cushioning on the interior of the helmet add comfort while also providing ventilation for your noggin to breath. Chin strap is comfy, and goggle strap is very sturdy. Very lightweight and easy to transport. The MIPs help provide that added level of safety to reduce impact load during spills and tumbles. So far, very impressed with this helmet and would defiantly recommend it to friend lookin gin this price range.
I bought a Jackson and a Ledge, both Giro, for an upcoming ski trip. Both in size large. The Jackson was definitely more roomy and with the ratchet adjust, more comfortable. The ear covers on the Jackson also covered my ears better. Sadly, my son claimed the Jackson helmet first. I did however wear the Ledge for a half day skiing with no headaches, but with slightly cold ears.
This helmet is comfortable all day. I admit to not having other helmets to compare to. As compared to a bike helmet or climbing helmet, this is snug and comfortable.The temperature is great, whether it is 10f and windy or 40f and sunny, I don't seem to sweat (the rest of my body does, but my helmet is dry).The only quirk is th chin strap cover can get twisted sometimes. A slight adjustment and it is off the the powder.
For the price, can't beat this. It is MIPS, and does the job. I don't see why you have to spend more money to get the same protection! I've fell really hard on icy slopes, and here I am with no TBI :) I like the burgundy color too. Very comfy too! Fits my two goggles very well too. Has a thing that keeps goggles fall away
