Nothing fancy, but a good beginner helmet. It doesn't have an adjustment dial, but I honestly don't need it. My head measurement was between a medium and large so I went with the medium at it fits great. Just enough room that I can wear it with a lighter-weight hat, but snug enough that I can also wear it without a hat without it moving around. Also is very comfortable. Feels secure and aligns perfectly with my dragon goggles. Haven't gotten to try it in action yet, but am very happy with this purchase so far.

For the price, the Ledge is a great value. It sits very snugly on my head, and actually have little space for a beanie/head liner thing in my helmet for warmth, which I was worried about but the helmet is well-insulated and I find that I don't need that balaclava I would normally wear. It's really great. The Jackson is probably a better helmet, but it costs more. this is great value.

The helmet itself is good, but I measured my boys heads and went by the chart. I ordered a small and a medium, but they were too small. We needed a medium and large. So seems like they may run small possibly. Took off one star for the hassle and the size guide not being accurate. But nice helmet. Glad to know my kids are wearing MIPS, feel better about that.

I have not had a chance to wear this helmet skiing yet, but it appears to be a great helmet! I have owned many Giro bike helmets in the past. This is my first snow helmet from them. Helmet feels warm and the fit is good. The goggle holder seems well designed. Having MIPS is also important to me for safety. Sizing was accurate with head measurements. The only reason this is a 4 star helmet rather than 5 is I wish it had the sizing wheel on the back to tighten and loosen the helmet for a custom fit. This one does it by eleastic straps at the back.
Very lightweight comfortable helmet. It barely feels like I have a helmet on and it has saved me from a concussion several times already. Only downside is the helmet brim isn't very thick, so if you have thick goggles the vents on top might be exposed. On snow days the snow gets on top and fogs up my goggles. Be sure you have thin goggles with less curve on the top to get a nice fit.
Nice helmet. Glad to know my kids are wearing MIPS for additional protection. Went by the size guide but they were too small. Ordered a small and medium, but actually needed medium and large. So seem to run on the small size. Taking off one star for hassle with having to return and reorder one of the helmets. Otherwise nice helmet.
First let me say how fast I received this item. From order to arrival, took 3 days!!!!! I have used this brand before, and wanted to upgrade to a MIPS helmet. Price was great, appearance and functionality is great. Super easy to wear as it is pretty light. Plus it stays where it should when worn, nothing more bothering than a helmet bouncing around. Will buy again when needed.
It is my second ski helmet. The first one was a random helmet I purchased in a hurry for my first ski trip. It was very uncomfortable. I returned it and purchased this Giro Ledge Helmet because I tried my friend's, which was much better, so I decided to get the same brand, the same model. It was definitely worth the price. I no longer felt pains around my head, and it kept my ears warm all the time. The helmet has a solid build and snug fit. You can feel the weight, but it is reasonable, not too heavy. I would highly recommend it to any beginner players like myself.
Very happy with my September 2023 purchase of the GIRO Ledge Snow Helmet. Super product. Sturdy, not heavy, warm. But also includes ventilation slots for comfort in sunshine or in exertion.I bought this helmet at an excellent price. Well worth looking for this prior-year model (may still be available someplace). Mine has all the Mips features except one: the turn-wheel tightness adjuster at back of neck. Later-year models incorporate that adjuster.in the newer design. For me, the fit of my purchase is perfect without the adjuster. For others, that same helmet WITH that adjuster may be a better choice to look for.
this is 1st of 2 GIRO helmets i ordered (other was the TRIG) and both are too short front to back and therefore feel tight against the forehead to point i think it would be very uncomfortable. neither were for "round heads". i have a CEVA from a few years back which feels great. apparently the company had some design team cut backs last year.... wonder if this is the result. also, are they aware that ano means tushie (apparently the anatomical word is too lude to pass backcountry's software check) in italian and spanish? haha.
