To be fair, it does say itās a soft leather. But the difference between the images online and what you actually receive is a mockery in itself. The best description of the āleatherā I could come up with was that it seemed like $50 high school girl wrinkly leather boots. The wrinkle pattern was uniform across the entire boot, and the leather felt weak and cheap. Had 2 sizing issues prior to this buy (after reading online that Doc Martens claims nothing has changed) these ones finally fit, instantly returned them and I bought Solovairs. I bought a pair of these on a whim, having never seen them before in the shops, although I had been looking for some dark brown boots or DMs for a while.Theyāre quite a wide fitting, even when laced up tight but once you get used to your feet having plenty of room, theyāre comfortable. They are noticeably heavy due to the amount of leather and thicker soles but Iāve worn them all day for work and not felt too tired, although I do tend to clomp around a bit in them later in the day. After a few wears, the uppers get noticeably marked. My first thought was to rush out and buy some sort of treatment for the leather, but now I quite like the worn-in look.Overall, theyāre what I expected from Doc Marten: a good quality, good looking boot and at a good price too.

These were for my husband. He loves the slightly softer, textured leather and that the laces hole rivets(?) are a little different to normal. They are comfy as are all the Docs we both know and love.He had hoped to buy a pair of the lighter grey textured leather and was disappointed when he found out they were a narrower, womenās boot. Would you consider creating a menās version of these in the future?

I love the softer leather in these boots. There's no break in period. My only critique is that Docs don't come in half sizes. I know this probably will never change, but alas I still would love it if it did! I'm a solid size 10 but have the hardest time with Docs. 9s are just a hair too small and the 10s are much too big. I have to wear 2 pairs of thick socks to keep my foot from sliding around. I would thank the gods if a 9.5 existed.
My second pair of 1460s. I had to break in my first pair of originals which was fine but this time, I wanted to wear straight from the box. I wasnāt disappointed! Gorgeously soft leather, a bit of extra height from the bex sole and Iām out and about without any pain! Totally worth the extra pennies! Iām a size 4 and they are a perfect fit with room for Doc Marten thick socks. Happy bunny!
My previous dr.martens boots was supersoft and comfy without any defects. It was produced in Indonesia.New ordered boots was produced in Bangladesh and have crooked stitching and soles trimming and shoes material colors socks. Unfortunately I can not accept this quality and Iām very upset. Itās not so comfy as previous one as well.I sincerely wish this brand to return the quality to the previous level.
I am a pretty true size 9 and I ended up sizing down to an 8 ā so glad I did! I originally ordered the size 9 but my feet were swimming in the boots so I sized down. The size 8 fit nicely already and Iām sure with time theyāll loosen up a bit more and fit perfectly. The leather is so soft and buttery which I prefer so much more to that of the classic 1460.I was hesitant about getting 1460s for the longest time because there were details about the original style I didnāt quite like but the pascal bex has everything I love! The leather on these really sells it for me and I love the slightly thicker soles. They only took a few wears to break in since theyāre a lot less stiff and Iām so in love with them already!Note: if you have high arches, I would recommend getting ...Ā MoreI am a pretty true size 9 and I ended up sizing down to an 8 ā so glad I did! Instead of a beautiful tan Doc Martin I received Asics worst ever grey sneaker. Not for the first time I've received the wrong item but this wasn't even close. I must admit customer service was appalling aswell. Still waiting on collection and 130 euro down despite being a premium customer š
These boots are the best. True to size. Don't size up or down. They have a slight texture to the lower half, almost looks worn in (in a good way). I canāt say enough about them. If you are confused about which Dr. Martinās to buy, get the 1460 Pascal Bex Pisa first. I get SO many compliments!
I guess I'm just in between sizes.. but it's like from 7 to 8, same boot selection, but when arrived, appears to be two different types of boots. The 7s were much softer, the laces were thinner.. better with like a wax coating. 8s are stiffer for sure, shinier, and have more of a workmen's boot lace. no wax so it comes undone easily. I kept the 8s, but overall, just a disappointing experience.
