why, why, why? You changed the floss into something terible. It shreds into my permanent retainer and the ends are too thick to get in between teeth. Why change it? I cant use these. Guess I have to go with those horrible plastic threaders and regular floss (not Oral b, never again). PS how stupid do you think we are that you think we wouldn't know the difference?????

Hygienist here. Our dental office recently received an order of this floss as it is what we use at hygiene appointments and recommend to our patients for flossing under bridges and around ortho. The previous design was perfect and easy to use. This tufted floss gets caught under tight bridges and shreds on ortho brackets.Superfloss is already a great product for those who need a tufted threader floss. Not sure why Oral-B decided to change the design for the regular threader floss to fully tufted, but we still need a threader option for those with ortho, super tight contacts, and tight bridges. Please consider bringing the old design back. As for now, our office will have to find something else to use for hygiene appointments and recommend to our patients for home care.

Our office used the old design threader floss for years!!!! It is so deceiving that we went to order as usual and received the new, redesigned floss threader. This is NOT the same or even close. Oral B already has super floss that has the "microfiber" floss. The new floss is horrible, and it gets stuck under bridges. We will not be ordering anything else from Oral b. Why fix something that isnt broke. Listen to the many many reviews from hygienists, assistants who use th eold threader floss and loved it. GO BACK TO THE OLD DESIGN!!! Also DO NOT BOTHER CALLING THE NUMBER they give below, the representatives were clueless and was the irritating phone call that got absolutely no resolve.

Zero stars. They discontinued a perfectly good product. Why? Stock reply of trying to improve product. They also said they did market testing but, obviously they did not allow a comparison of new to old. I really wonder if their supply cost, reusable nature of the original product or product content is the issue. New product won't thread properly in tight places. Many on line retailers have not changed the photo of the product so, you end up with the new inferior one. Just returned $60 worth of this junk to Walgreens.
Despite what these bot replies from Oral-B may be saying, the "new microtextured floss fiber that’s still strong and shred resistant" is neither strong nor shred resistant. It is in fact, the complete opposite. The entire reason I used this floss is because it didn't have the weird fiber type floss that gets shredded by my retainer, but they just replaced it with exactly that (something which is already used by a different Oral-B product, so why did this even need to happen?) When my local CVS runs out of the previous product, I'm going to have to start looking for an alternative. Don't be fooled by the past reviews, it is NOT the same product that you knew.
There is some type of bait and switch with your product on Amazon. I re-ordered the Glide Threader floss I've been using for years (the picture was the same as that old version) and I received a new version which is nothing like what is shown in the picture. It was not individual package and something called Oral-B Threader floss 6 envelopes of 5 threaders. That Threader Floss is HORRIBLE - the built in threader is too this and the floss itself shreds, breaks, goes to pieces of thread that catch in my teeth.I agree with the many other Reviewers here. If it ain't broke, don't fix it. GO BACK TO THE ORIGINAL !!!PLEASE, is the the original old version of Glide Threader Floss still available to buy, and if so, where?
I’m so very disappointed with this product. I’ve been using these floss threaders for many years and had no idea they had changed it so drastically with this recent purchase. First the plastic tip is hard to guide through the teeth. It’s flimsy! Next, the no-shred floss is a joke. Why did they change a perfectly good product? This shopping order I purchased 3 packages because Walmart was offering cash back. Looks like I will be returning these and looking for a substitute.I’ve been reading recent reviews and I’m not the only one dissatisfied with the new product. Oral-B please bring back the old version.
This item seems to be unavailable. The Glide Threader floss worked well. Unfortunately you don’t seem to make it anymore. The newer version - called Oral-B threader floss- has a softer threader and fatter, fuzzy floss. It doesn’t thread through teeth well and the floss is cumbersome and uncomfortable to use.BRING BACK THE OLD VERSION OF GLIDE PLEASE.
Why, why, whyyyyyyyyy would you change the product when it was perfect as it was?! Why not have two versions and let the people choose what worked best for them?! This new product with this thicker thread is no good, the thread breaks and it is NO good! PLEASE I AM BEGGING YOU TO CHANGE THEM BACK TO HOW THEY WERE!!! Also, everyone is advertising the package the old BETTER version and we are getting duped into buying this new HORRIBLE version.
The "new" Oral -B Threader Floss is very poor quality. It shreds easily. I thought I was receiving the Oral-B Glide Pro-Health Dental Floss Threader, 30 Count, product 95577259, but instead I received an inferior product , %2321044447. The box no longer says Glide Pro-Health . This is a waste of money and I will be returning the product and look for another brand.
