We had been procrastinating buying new knives. When we got these it was light night and day. So much easier to cut everything should have bought them sooner!
Let me start by saying I am not a professional chef. In fact, I'm not even a good cook. But I am a person who appreciates good tools and these Globals are seriously good. They are well balanced, a good weight (not too light, not too heavy) and seriously sharp. I sliced a soft tomato easily and accurately just holding the 20cm cook's knife with thumb and forefinger whilst letting the weight of the knife do the work. I know there are more expensive knives out there which are probably appropriate for professionals, but these are great for the home cook. I will definitely be buying more Global knives.
The knives are very sharp. The set contains just the right number and size of knives required for daily use. Knives are well designed, have a good grip and the curvature on the blade is just right for cutting.
Awesome knives for the money. Well worth it! Super sharp! I use the pairing knife daily and have only had to sharpen it once. The other two knives I use 2-3 times per week and they are almost as sharp as the day I got them! Slice through a piece of paper with the lightest push. Highly recommended! Also I would get the sharpener that global sells for $50.00. Well worth it! Cheers!
I love Global knives! Had a couple in my old knife bag before someone took it so had to get more. I love how light and comfortable they are. Easy to use all day, stay sharp and come back with a few quick swipes on a steal.
I got a global knife 3piece set last November. It's a configuration I've been eyeing for a long time, and it was on sale so I was able to buy it at a good price.I am very satisfied. The global knife is thin and light. The wrist is comfortable.There is only one complaint. It's only been a year since I bought it and it doesn't look like it's been used much, but the knife has already become dull. So I had to buy an additional knife sharpener. Had I known that the blade would become dull so quickly, I would have bought a different brand of knife.
Coming from generic homewares shop knives I’ve found these bad boys to be a slicing a dicing dream. They are so sharp they scare me a bit. But definitely reaching for these come the Zombie apocalypse. Highly recommend!
