Excellent knives, quality. Cuts time doing the prep work. I used it on a pineapple and could see the difference between old knives and the global knives.

I thought Global knives were supposed to be ones that chef's use and a high quality knife. I have used them for a while now and ready to throw them out and buy another brand unfortunately. I only cut on wooden boards or plastic boards, I don't put in dishwasher. I have had the chef's one professionally sharpened once at $12.50. They are too fragile, little chips out of blades continuously. We have the proper wet block sharpening tool. When I hold them up can see the little chunks missing from blades. I don't feel they are a sturdy kitchen knife at all and blunt very quickly. What a shame.

Excellent knife set - a pleasure to slice, cut and dice with these sharp, well made knives. Easy to use, comfortable handles and very sharp. My first set of Japanese stainless steel knives and I will never get cheap alternatives again. Every kitchen need good quality knives - and Global does not disappoint.
I purchased my first Global knife several years ago and it is still my favorite knife. I continue to purchase others for the quality and price.
My daughter loves these knives. The anniversary edition made the knives a bit more affordable. :)
The knives handle well and cuts through food easily which makes meal preparation easier. They also have a good looking design. Good value compared to other Global knives as these are the 30 years celebration knives so they are discounted but still work as great.
I bought these because a friend has them and loves them. The little paring knif was somewhat sharp but the two larger ones were not. And it's only gotten worse in the few months since I purchased. I replaced then with a ceramic set. I wouldn't recommend these at all.
I already had three of these knives and I jumped at the opportunity to buy these three to add to my Global collection. Not only are they sharp but they sharpen easily and quickly.
