We have several Global knives. We bought this as a housewarming gift for our son. He loves it and the holder is sleek and modern. Just perfect!
The knives are exceptional. Sleek, precise and extremely sharp. We purchased these knives through Crate & Barrel because we like the stand they offered. The knives are available elsewhere with different stands. Unfortunately, the stand is already rusting. It's unfortunate, but does not change how great the knives work.
I bought this knives set because of design and the light weight which I checked from the store. As I was enjoying the knives set in my kitchen, they started to get rust within a month. First I thought maybe only this set so I called the CB customer service and got replacement with new set again because I really like the design, weight, and the sharpness. I was wrong. The replacement set also started to get rust within a month. I am returning this knives set for good.
We are really happy with this knife set! It is lightweight but durable and cuts really clean. We always hand wash and dry immediately since they are stainless steel, but haven’t needed to do anything further. The knife block itself wasn’t very practical (kind of big and awkward shaped for our counter) but we easily ordered another generic one that fits these knives.
Purchased this set, not that I needed a new set of knives, but have been wanted them for a long time. The styling/design of the set is beautiful. The 30% edge on the knives is incredible to work with, very precise cuts, and the balance of the knives are amazing. I know it is a lot to spend on a set of knives, but I will have them for a LONG time coming.
