Love it. Knives are sharp and easy to use. I love the look of them and the block they fit into looks so impressive on the countertop.

Beautiful Knife Block. SHARP Knives.

We love this knife set. I had no idea how dull/bad our old knives were until we got this. Even harder items, like beets, spaghetti squash, and watermelon are a breeze to slice through. My prep time is actually reduced because of the ease of these knives. I debated getting a set that had more knives, but so far this set has been perfect, the only additions I may add to my set are the Global Kitchen Shears and the Global Steak Knife Set.

Global Katana Knife Block Set

Using these gorgeous knives is a dream. Cutting through chicken joints is like cutting through butter using minimal pressure. So comfortably weighted in my hand and I find I don't get forearm and hand fatigue (a sufferer of tennis elbow so can't grip most things). Beautiful knives in the kitchen make for quicker meal prepartion and are so easy to wash and keep clean. Love them so much I'll buy a second set.

Great knife block!

I love the look of the block, it's a nice addition to the kitchen! The knives are very sharp, comfortable to use and easy to clean. I chose this set because it comes with the serrated utility knife which I find a lot more useful than a bread knife which most of the other blocks come with.

Just What You Need

I did some research on Global knives before purchasing this set. The tests completed on Global knives vs others of equal, lesser and greater cost were comforting as Global appeared to rank highly across many categories.This set of knives is EXACTLY what you need and nothing more or less. I felt it was a good choice for quality and price point. They are light weight and cut beautifully.The block itself is what initially drew me in and then when I found positive feedback on these knives in conjunction with learning that Giada uses this brand...well, it was a no brainer. :)Happy, happy, happy

Most comfortable knives EVER

I recently bought this block set after trying one of the Global knives at a friend's house. She was telling me the reason she loves them is because she has smaller hands and these handles actually fit in her palm AND are comfortable. Also, the handles are sand filled so they are not too heavy and provide perfect balance. I am obsessed with them! The knives are super sharp and I love the modern look of the block. Most knife blocks can be kind of boring but this one is actually attractive

Overall Good !

These knives in this set don't feel as hefty as other similar Global Knives we have ( From Sur La table..). Maybe different construction or Metal composition.But they are every bit as sharp and if they hold up will still be considered a good buy!

Should have invested in good knives years ago

My daughter recommended Global knives to me years ago. She had purchased many different brands like me only to be disappointed. We all share the passion of cooking and my new knives have made life in the kitchen so much more efficent cutting up vegetables meat and general preparation of meals. They are great value and i would recommend them to anyone who spends time in their kitchen.

great knife set

I really appreciate the clean lines of the knife block and the great quality of the knives. The handles and balance are wonderful. My only complaint is that the stainless steel base and sides of the holder spot very easily and are challenging to keep clean looking.
