Absolutely LOVE my global knives. Over 15 years ago, I took a knife skills class and tried a global knife for the first time. The weight and how it feels in my hand is just so much better than any other knife and they are super sharp. I say this all the time… There’s nothing more dangerous than a dull knife in your kitchen… because when you have to struggle with your knife or put too much pressure behind it, you lose control over it. I’ve cut myself on a ton of cheap dull knives before, but never a Global.

These are by far some of the best knifes! The textured handle is comfortable, yet a firm grip even with damp hands! They are light weight and the smaller knifes enable a lot of control! so much nicer than holding a plastic handle! You can sharpen then on the block! But not dish washer friendly!

I adore my Global knives. They are the first really quality knives I have ever purchased. They are so sharp, I had to learn how to handle them without cutting myself. They cut food - especially tough things, like tomatoes - beautifully. I have a 3 piece set and I know I'll be adding to my collection. Do NOT put them in the dishwasher. These knives need TLC and hand washing. They are chef-quality and that is reflected in the price the 7 inch Santoku knife will run you close to $125 but I promise, Global knives are worth every penny !

Love this knife. A little overpriced and other knives would work just fine. But this knife in my opinion is worth every penny. Chops, juliennes one single stroke. Be careful as it is very sharp. Perfect for chopping. Love it!!
The best knives on the market. I love cooking with these, they make prep work such a breeze! I actually have a huge collection will continue to add to my knives. They are perfectly balanced, beautiful sharp! I use a wet stone to sharpen, these don’t rust aren’t too heavy causing wrist issues or cramps in your hands, made the way samurai swords used to be made. Truly a masterpiece an heirloom! You will love these 🗡💯🔪
Absolutely adore this brand, I have many of their knives, even the knife block set. And so far I have not had to sharpen one YET. (and its now 10+years later) not only are they beautiful to use, they are such a good looking addition to your bench. Something that I also appreciate is the knife is made with one solid piece of metal, unlike the days of old knives with handles which allowed germs to get stuck in under the black handle-meaning these are alot more hygienic. They seem expensive upfront, but are definitely worth it, come with a guarantee.
Probably my favorite knife in my collection. It was a splurge purchase when I was in culinary school, but I’ve had it for years and use it for everything. The grip is firm, even when wet or your hands are sticky, and it fits securely in my lefty grasp, which is surprisingly difficult to find in higher end knives. It sharpens equally well with a whetstone or a home sharpener, and lasts between sharpening a with basic maintenance. I love this knife, and have recommended it to many others.
Global's knives are so incredibly beautiful. They have a really nice weight to them, but their handles are kind of skinny. They definitely take some getting used to when switching from cheap knives! They are super sharp and hold their edge wonderfully. I love that they are solid metal so will never have the problem of the handle coming loose from the blade. They are worth every penny because they will last you a lifetime.
Ever so light and super easy handling. Smooth contours and seamless construction eliminate food and dirt traps, offering the ultimate in safety and hygiene. I love that you can use it left or right handed. It’s so sharp and allows you to use the pull chop method for meal prep making it easy to get everything ready super fast.
We have owned this knife for over 9 years. I bought it for my Executive Chef husband after someone stole one of his Wusthofs. We were dating and I couldn't afford a Wusthof and I found this (I ordered it directly from Global - and they were much cheaper back then) and it similar in size what he was now missing. He took it to work with him and used it every day. After a few months of use, he told me that he used it more than his beloved Wusthofs. After changing companies, he brought this knife home for us to use. We use it on a daily basis. And 9+ years later, through professional and home use, it still has the original factory edge on it and is still razor sharp. My husband makes sure all of the knives in the house are sharp but this one still has never touched the wet stone for sharpening. The knives from this brand are worth every penny you spend on them. The key is to take great care of your investment... wash by hand - no dishwasher, learn how to cut properly so you maintain the blade, don't use the blade to clear your cutting board, learn how to properly "steel" the blade to maintain sharpness, and either learn how to properly sharpen on a wet stone - for the love of God do NOT buy one of those quicky handheld sharpeners where you drag the blade though a "V" sharpen (if you're going to use one of those, then go buy cheap Target knives) - or find someone who knows how... even if it costs you a little money.
