My husband and I have taken these little beauties across the middle of Australia on a 2200km motorbike ride. We have one radio each so we can chat to each other and also to trucks on the road. We travelled to the Oodnadatta track to Mt Dare, from there we rode across the Madigan Line a harsh 800km desert track to Birdsville before heading home down the Birdsville track.These little radios never gave up we just clipped them off our backpacks.

I love these CB radios. I have tested them in some of Australia's most iconic National Parks where I grow some of my very best pot. These have saved many a crop (which I need to fund my overseas property portfolio as well as look after Government officials) from those that seek to confiscate or burn my weed. Great for early warning of helicopter attack or those sneaky four wheel drive convoys. Thank you GME and Thank you Snowys.
This is a lower power walkie talkie but packed with all the features you will require. Nice price point, not the cheapest brand but I still consider it good value. I bought the twin pack. Definitely not a toy but not the top of the range either. You may want to consider a more powerful unit, 1W is good enough for my use since I have a CB radio installed in the car that will transmit longer distances.

Used recently for stepdaughter first long drive on her own with me in front vehicle. Broke the travel up but was able to communicate with her any upcoming hazards on the road. Passed her for b double but was reassured with me keeping he calm. Great little product
Battery doesn’t last long. Keypad is not intuitive. You won’t be able to operate this two way without the instructions. Have played around with the 2 watt unit, much better on battery on more user friendly. Don’t waste your money on this one, get the 2 watt model
Great handy size unit with the small antenna and power to meet many needs. Work or pleasure the size just works for me. Would be nice to see a 2W version in the same size ariel. Being able to recharge is a bonus also
Waste of money, failed basic operations and as a result of transmission even when not wanting to... it needed battery pulled to shut it up and open the airwaves for others. Even the model up from this would randomly transmit when sitting on the table.
